The Languages and Global Studies Department organized an educational simulation event titled “Election of the International Relations President” with first-year International Relations students as part of the course Introduction to Political Science. The simulation was conducted after students studied topics related to elections, voting behavior, political communication, and campaign strategies. Students were divided into political parties, selected presidential candidates, and developed campaign programs, slogans, and policy proposals. They also delivered speeches, participated in debates and press briefings, and responded to questions from voters and journalists.
The event was honored by the visit of the Rector of the university Muhsinjon Xolmuxamedov, who observed the simulation and had an insightful conversation with the students. The Rector highly appreciated the students’ creativity, confidence, and active engagement throughout the event.
The event provided students with practical experience in understanding how elections work while helping them develop leadership, teamwork, public speaking, critical thinking, and diplomatic communication skills. The event concluded with a democratic voting process and became a memorable and engaging learning experience for first-year International Relations students.
