On October 30, the Uzbekistan–Japan Rectors’ Forum began its work at Samarkand State University with the participation of rectors from universities of both countries.
This prestigious event plays an important role in further strengthening cooperation between higher education institutions of the two countries and in launching new scientific and educational projects.
Today, on October 31, as part of the second day of the forum, meetings were organized in the “U2U” (University to University) format.
During these meetings, Mr. D. Nasimov, First Vice-Rector for Administrative Affairs of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, held negotiations with the heads of leading Japanese universities, including Nagoya University of Economics, Toyo University, Yamagata University, and others, to establish bilateral cooperation.
During the discussions, the parties exchanged views and expressed their readiness to develop mutually beneficial cooperation in the areas of training specialists in tourism and cultural heritage, faculty and student exchanges, joint educational programs, and the implementation of scientific projects.
This forum serves as an important step toward elevating cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan in the fields of education, science, and culture to a new level.
