UNESCO announced the 3rd international competition within the framework of the "Silk Road" program

UNESCO announced the 3rd international competition under the Silk Road program called "Silk Road Youth Research Grant - Strengthening the potential and contribution of young researchers through the Silk Road Initiative". This competition is financed by the National Commission for UNESCO Affairs of the People's Republic of China.

This initiative, which aims to mobilize young researchers for further study of the Silk Roads shared heritage, will award 12 research grants to young women and men under 35 years of age.

Grant applicants are invited to address areas of academic study which relate to the shared heritage and plural identities of the Silk Roads, as well as its internal diversity, and potential in contemporary societies for creativity, intercultural dialogue, social cohesion, regional and international cooperation, and ultimately sustainable peace and development.

To participate in the competition, candidates are requested to fill the form online through the website (https://en.unesco.org/silkroad/youthgrant) by May 31, 2023.
