- Geography (human, physical, and environmental; knowledge of cartography and systems)
- Cultural anthropology with sociology
- Social and Political History
- History of Religions (Religionswissenschaft), theology not accepted
- Philosophy or History of Ideas; preferably with mathematics or logic
Area studies:
- Research design and Methods
- Research strategy
- Tools and software (Information Science)
Teaching experience preferred. English at C1 or IELTS 7.5 level required. Active research program as evidenced by articles in refereed journals indexed by SCOPUS or Web of Science*
