Dear students! In order to increase the legal awareness and legal culture on electoral legislation and the electoral process in the Republic of Uzbekistan, to deepen the knowledge of young people about elections and to widely disseminate this knowledge among students. We would like to inform you that the competition “The best scientific work on the electoral legislation and the rights and obligations of participants in the electoral process” has been announced.
Scientific works will be accepted in Uzbek, Russian and English.
Requirements for submission of scientific articles to the competition are as follows:
- Scientific article should be 14 fonts (Times New Roman), 1 space, 2 cm border at the top, bottom, left and right of the page and should be contain total 5-6 pages;
- At the top right of the page is placed ЎУК/УДК;
- The topic of the scientific article is presented in Uzbek, Russian and English languages. The next line of the scientific article indicates the author's name and surname (materials are accepted as an individual authorship), the name of the higher education institution, stage of education (bachelor / master), course of study, e-mail address, telephone number;
- After them there must be summary of the scientific article (annotation) (in Uzbek, Russian, English; 4-5 lines), followed by keywords (in Uzbek, Russian, English; 6-10);
- The article should consist of an introduction, main part, conclusion, list of references (in alphabetical order) and numbered in the order indicated in the list of references in the text, also must be in square brackets.
Scientific articles submitted to the competition will be evaluated on a 100-point scale based on the following criteria:

The competition will be held in two stages: Stage 1 will be organized at the university and the works of the participants are examined. After this, selected works will be submitted along with a letter of recommendation and review from the university to a working group formed by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education for Stage 2.
The scientific works submitted to the competition’s second stage will be examined in 3 nominations:
1. "The best on electoral legislation";
2. "The best on the history of elections";
3. "The best on the electoral process."
The winners of the competition in each nomination (total 9) will be rewarded with 1st, 2nd, 3rd degree diplomas, a collection of published their scientific works and other presents in the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the participation of the media.
