Recently, the physical education coaches of our university organised inter-team friendly volleyball games among students, in which the winners were determined.

On February 8, 2024, on the initiative of the Vice-Rector for Scientific Researches and Innovations of the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, Tong Qian Zou, a seminar was organized for teachers, doctoral students and students of the university.
The Deputy Governor of the Samarkand region for youth policy, social development and spiritual issues, Rustam Rajabboevich Kobilov, took part in the seminar as a guest. At the seminar, lecture was held on the topic “Tourism starategy development in Samarkand region”.
On 8 February, the regional newspaper “Zarafshan” published an article by the first vice-rector of our university, Professor J.Eltazarov, about the successes achieved in the field of education at "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.
The article talks about the tasks set in the strategy “Uzbekistan-2030” and their implementation, the fact that “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage has a national certificate, and the newest task is to enter the thousand best universities in the world with international certification and accreditation in the future.
The article also talked about the organisation of departments at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage (“Uzbek Studies”) by the decision of the President.

Today, 9 February, the 583rd anniversary of the birth of our great-grandfather, a great Uzbek poet, philosopher and statesman, who was born in the city of Herat in 1441, is being widely celebrated.
Since this morning, the public of Samarkand region, in particular teachers, students of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage with honours laid a wreath at the foot of the monument to our great-grandfather Navoi, installed in the Central Park named after Alisher Navoi.
It was noted at the event that Navoi’s works have become invaluable spiritual heritage of the peoples of the world. Gazelles and rubai in different languages were performed. Actors of the Musical Drama Theatre presented sketches depicting Navoi’s personality.
Since September of this year, quotas for 2 students from “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage have been allocated for free study at Wakayama University for one semester. This programme is open to students who have moved to the 2nd or 3rd year of university in September.

On 8 February of this year at 15:00, “El-yurt umidi” Foundation is organising an online webinar for graduates and undergraduates as well as teachers via the zoom platform on the topic "Opportunities for Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral studies at Spanish universities".

At the Khiva Technical School of Tourism and Cultural Heritage in Khorezm region, students in the field of “Organisation and Management of Hospitality” prepared and presented stage plays on how to act in problem situations in a hotel. It is known that theatrical performances of this kind are important for improving the knowledge and skills of student youth. Therefore, the student youth come up with such effective methods to showcase their skills.
In the theatrical plays, the students have shown in a very beautiful manner how to deal with them in a sensible manner in relation to the problematic situations that often occur in hotels.

On 7 February this year, a meeting on “Women in Science and Education in the 21st Century; Achievements and Challenges” was organised at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage before the 11 February “International Day of Women and Girls in Science”. Professors, Heads of Departments and final year students consisting of women working in our university attended the event.
Chairwoman of the women’s committee of the university, who was the first to speak at the meeting, M.Abbasova said that in the following years, women have been active in the direction of science, along with all aspects of society, in which all women of our high country become an example for others.
After that, N.Abduvokhidova, head of the department of work with youth and mahalla, spoke at the event and told about the work carried out for the social protection of women working in the field of science at the university. It was noted that for the last year practical help was rendered to 20 women of our university. In addition, many students visited rented flats and hostels for girls. Also at the event, the head of the department of cultural heritage of the university M.Khakberidieva devoted her speech to the work of women in the field of science, university psychologist D. Turdieva expressed her opinion on such topics as close communication with some female students and psychological support for them.
During the heated roundtable discussion, the university's women’s committee spoke about fully supporting our women working in all fields of science and using all their strength and enthusiasm for this purpose.
