In order to usefully spend the free time of students, as well as to acquaint young people studying in the field of tourism with innovations and initiatives in this area, a trip was organised to the recreation area Zamin of Jizzak district, the highest and most mountainous part of the country. During the trip they climbed up the mountain on foot and rode on special ropeways.
This trip became significant in that our university was filled with lifelong impressions for both local and international students.
Employees and students of the university actively participated in the Hotel Business Forum, which took place in Tashkent from February 29 to March 1 at the InterContinental Hotel. The two-day business program was filled with presentations, discussions, and exchanges of opinions among industry professionals, representatives of sectoral committees and ministries, investors, and foreign partners.
As part of the Forum, there was a session on education in the hospitality industry, during which the parties reached a consensus on the further development of new educational programs and practice-oriented modules.
On 28 February of this year, together with the chair of the Women's Council of "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage M. Abbasova and the tutor of the first year G. Khusainova, a round table was held on the topic "Marriages between relatives, early marriages, culture of attitude to women in the family and negative consequences".
During the round table, opinions were expressed on the negative consequences of early marriages between relatives, the reasons for the differences in the culture of attitudes towards women in the family today, the consequences, the impact on the psyche and upbringing of children being brought up and the prevention of such situations.
During the event, the students received necessary recommendations on how to read fiction books more attentively, maintain a culture of treatment and cleanliness. The event, which was held in the form of questions and answers, became much more interesting for the female students.

On 4 March of this year at 10:00 a.m. in room 229 of our university, an online conference will be organised with Samy de Guios, PhD, in the History of Sect Studies Department of the University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. The theme of the conference, which will be held in an online format, is "Defining Research Principles in 2024".

A "Movie Quiz" game on the topic of cinema was organised among teams of smart students of "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.
At our university, games like "Zakovat Quiz" on these topics are organised on a regular basis, and students take an active part in them. In the knowledge competition, which consisted of seven stages, the teams were asked six questions each. In the contest, in which eight teams took part, they looked for answers to such questions as some interesting facts about cinema, which film the sunken souls belong to, the names of films starring famous actors.
According to the results of the student-youth game, the first place was taken by the team "The Last Dance", the second by the team "Anubis" and the third by the team "Friends".
On 29 February of this year, a seminar will be organised at "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage for master's students and researchers of the university. Tony Zou, Vice Rector of the University for Scientific Work and Innovation, invited Lazizbek Mukhtorov, Specialist of Bukhara Regional Department of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, to attend the seminar.

According to the exchange programme of teachers and students between our university and Beijing International Studies University, Huang Mingshan, a master student of Beijing International Studies University, was accepted as an exchange student for a semester at our university.
On 27 February of this year, the first vice-rector of our university Prof. J. Eltazarov, taking into account the fact that the student quickly mastered the subjects that are required for our foreign students in the educational direction, awarded her a certificate of "Exchange Programme Graduate" and wished her success in further studies and work.
- I am very glad that during the semester of study at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage I have improved my knowledge and qualification. I was very impressed by the fact that Samarkand is the most convenient place to study tourism and cultural heritage, as well as by the university professors with high level of knowledge. This plays an important role in my future working life," says Huang Mingshan, a student at Beijing International Studies University.
It is known from history that the Chinese traditional holiday of lanterns is celebrated in China. In terms of studying and respecting the customs and values of the Chinese people, a lantern festival "Happy Spring Festival" was held on 24 February of this year in the assembly hall of our university with the participation of a group of Chinese language students, Confucius Institute of Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages and the School of "Perspective Education". During the event, various performances attracted great interest among the participants of the event.
On 22 February 2024, the 4th seminar of Silk Road Tourism and Cultural Leaders was held at Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, organised by Vice-Rector Professor Tony Zou. Amirsoy Customer Service Manager Intizor Sapaeva gave a presentation on "Improving Customer Service and Digital Marketing at the Resort" as part of the development of the snow resort. The account manager shared the history of Amirsoy mountain resort development. He elaborated on the history of Amirsoy Mountain Resort and its future plans and explained in detail how to handle customer enquiries. Our students also gave good suggestions such as using English in advertising to improve the service at Amirsoy, promoting and handling tourist complaints, reducing ticket prices to attract local tourists, and providing accommodation for young students. MA, PhD students and some teachers participated the seminar.
