Educational books “Labour Market” and “Labour Market Infrastructure” were published by Nargiza Mansurova, Associate Professor, Head of the Research Department of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.
At present, there are serious changes in the world market conditions, international competition is intensifying in the period of globalisation. Under these conditions, the economy of Uzbekistan is also undergoing new serious and qualitative changes. Outdated economic institutions and instruments are being replaced by modern, innovative and effective management methods. In order to ensure stable and rapid development of the country, the Development Strategy of Uzbekistan for 2022-2026 has been developed and is being gradually implemented. This strategy is mainly aimed at improving the quality and standard of living of the population of Uzbekistan. Increasing the economic growth rate of the country and the development of the national economy largely depends on the efficiency of the productive forces, which are the main wealth of any State. Effective labour not only remains a key factor in the development of the economy, but also fulfils the function of ensuring the well-being of people and meeting their needs.
This publication serves from a scientific and practical point of view to fulfil the tasks as to ensure employment and create new jobs specified in other regulatory and legal documents, particularly, in the field of labor, the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 8, 2021 “On measures to further improvement of the system of personnel training for working professions” No. PD-5140, dated September 5, 2023 No. PD-450 “On additional measures to support certain categories of people with social needs and their employment” and Decree No. PD-82 dated June 1, 2023 “On quality social service and assistance to the population and comprehensive measures to establish an effective control system”.
These books are intended for bachelors, masters, researchers and professors of economics.
On 25 November 2023 at the Scientific Council DSc.33/01.02.2022.I.145.01 under “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage , an employee of the Information Resources Center of our university, Siroj Samiev, defended his PhD dissertation in economic sciences in the specialty 08.00.17 - Tourism and hotel activities (economic sciences) on the topic “Improving organizational and economic mechanisms for the development of business tourism in the regions (on the example of the Samarkand region)”. Recently, by decision of the Board of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan, he was awarded the academic degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in economic sciences.
January 18 the First vice-rector of our university, prof. J.Eltazarov on behalf of the management congratulated Siroj Samiev, who was the first to defend his dissertation among the staff of our university at the Scientific Council DSc.33/01.02.2022.I.145.01 and awarded him a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in economic sciences diploma.
As you know, in the near future, our university organises various events and competitions in all kinds of sports. On 16 January of this year, a volleyball competition was held among the faculty and staff of our university.
The 14th of January was dedicated to the Defender of the Fatherland Day. According to the results of the exciting last sporting event, the team of the agriculture department took the first place, the team of the rectorate took the second place, and the team of the accounting department took the third place.
On the 17th of January this year in room 108 of the university the department of scientific researches organised a seminar on the theme “Methodology of determination of the scheme of additional chain of demand and supply due to the development of ecotourism in the territory (on the example of the territory of Amankotan)”, written by Madina Khashimova Madina Muradkhanovna, a doctoral student of our university for the degree of PhD on speciality 08.00.17-“Tourism and hotel activity”. At the seminar Madina Hashimova presented interesting information on the topic and gave an idea of the scientific basis that the territory of Amankotan in Urgut district is a very favourable place for ecotourism and that by attracting tourists it is possible to define an additional scheme of supply and demand chain.
These days, a group of intellectuals from the country’s universities hold meetings with residents in the neighborhoods and villages of Toyloq district to widely promote the large-scale reforms and achievements in New Uzbekistan.
The teachers of “Silk Road” University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage “Languages” department, as individuals who provide our people with practical life examples led by the people who exist at the moment, and in these processes, as individuals who provide for the problems that each of our countries have taken upon themselves with our citizens. Iroda Ablakulova and Nilufar Halimova met with residents of “Fayziabad” neighborhood of Toyloq district. At the promotional event, they talked closely with the residents and talked about the work being done in Toyloq district in Samarkand and said “For a new life, for a new Uzbekistan!” gave a speech at the propaganda event under the slogan “Talking in the neighborhood”.
Officials of the district administration, a number of district non-governmental organizations, neighborhood activists participated in the event and expressed their opinions on the topic.
The teachers of our university organized a quiz on various interesting topics for the participants of the event, and the winners received books as a gift.
On 16 January of this year, a group of students of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage organised a practical trip to Kashkadarya region in order to get acquainted with the cultural and historical heritage of our country.
During the trip, which started in Shakhrisabz of Kashkadarya region, our students had an opportunity to get acquainted with the White Palace, Chubin Museum, Jahangir Mausoleum, “Blue Cupola” complexes.
Khoja Ilgor is a village in Yakkabag district of Kashkadarya province. Amir Timur, the founder of the Timurid kingdom, grew up on this land, which has a history of several hundred years. Here is the mausoleum of Khoja Muhammad ibn al-Qasim, who died in 711 AD and was known to the people as Khoja Ilgor. During archaeological excavations on the territory of the village, the remains of an ancient fortress with an area of six hectares were discovered, as well as various stones, fragments of pottery, the foundation of a mosque of the 7th century of captivity and mulberry trees. Interestingly, a 100kg stone, which our grandfather trained as a young man, has been preserved here.
Importantly, our students returned from this pilgrimage very impressed. Student excursions to historical sites are organised throughout the year.
To widely promote the large-scale reforms and achievements implemented in our country today, professors and teachers of our university are holding meetings and roundtable discussions with the population through various events in a number of mahallas of Toylok district.
On January 16 of this year, teachers of the "Languages" department of our university, Dilfuza Marupova and Gulrukh Yusupova, visited the "Ortokishloq" mahalla of Toylok district and promoted the practical work carried out under the leadership of the President to the population. At the campaign event, residents of the neighborhood were informed about the reforms implemented in the fields of education, culture, and sports in our country. It is known that today all mahallas in Toylok district are becoming prosperous; all the created conditions and opportunities are efforts made in the way of a more prosperous life for our people.
Official leaders and activists of the district and mahalla took part in the event. To make the event livelier and more interesting for residents, various quizzes were organized and those who actively participated were rewarded with books.
These days, a group of professors and teachers of our university are in all the mahallas of Taylak district and hold meetings with the population about the work carried out in our country in the following years and the successes achieved. Seeing that the population also actively participates in these meetings, we can say that our people are satisfied with the reforms carried out today and that our citizens also contribute to these actions and practical work. On 13 January, head of the Tourism Management Department of our university Odilov Akmaljon and teacher of the department Suyunov Alijon in the mahallas “Bogizagan” and “Galabotir” of Taylak district “For a new life, for a new Uzbekistan!” could also be seen in the agitation event under the slogan “Mahallada duv-duv gap”.
Participants of the event were told about the large-scale reforms being carried out in our country and were presented books.
In order to develop scientific branches through the system of continuous professional development of management and pedagogical staff of higher educational institutions, jointly with the Institute of Advanced Training and Retraining of Financial and Banking Workers at Tashkent Financial Institute and the European Institute of Applied Sciences and Management, on 18-27 March of this year it is planned to hold a scientific-practical seminar in Prague, located in the Czech Republic, on the theme “Artificial Intelligence Technologies in Education: Prospects and Consequences”.
Those wishing to take part in the seminar should submit the necessary documents until 5 February (to the Department of International Cooperation and Rating).
At the end of the training course an international certificate will be awarded. The cost of the training course is 1450 euros.

The head of the district unit of the Republican Centre for Spirituality and Enlightenment, the chairman of the “Yastepa” mahalla citizens’ assembly, and the district school director took part in the agitation event. At the meeting it was told about the reforms carried out by our president in the following years, about the fact that huge creative work is being done in the regions, the way of life of the population is growing day by day. Speakers at the event said that these changes in our country are reflected in the way of life of the population, including the mahalla “Saribozor”. All this is the result of practical work carried out in New Uzbekistan.
At the event, teachers of our university presented books to a group of active citizens of the mahalla.
