On October 8, 2020 at the Customs Institute of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, was held online scientific and practical round table on the topic "Prospects for Economic Cooperation in Central Asia”. Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Tourism Management of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism Samiev Sirozh took an active part in this online conference with a report on the topic: “Prospects for increasing the tourism potential of Uzbekistan with the countries of Central Asia”.
This event was held to analyze the current situation in economic cooperation in Central Asia, assess its integration potential and study development prospects. The online scientific and practical conference was devoted to the prospects for tourism development in the current pandemic, creating opportunities for free travel and the safety of citizens, expanding tourist flows and improving the safety of traditional tourist sites. The plans were reviewed and discussed to improve the infrastructure of roads connecting Central Asia in order to develop tourism, hold international youth forums, enhance economic integration, and the role of joint tourism.
Note that at the jubilee 75th session of the UN General Assembly on September 22, 2020, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.Mirziyoyev raised issues of Central Asian cooperation, major changes in the region, the creation of good-neighborly relations and mutual trust between states in the region. It was noted that the volume of bilateral trade is growing, the country is developing economic reforms, poverty reduction, the development of entrepreneurship and the creation of new jobs are observed, the investment and business environment and modern infrastructure are improving, etc.
