Congratulations on the award!

It is known that according to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 8, 2022, the commemorative badge "30th anniversary of the Constitution of Uzbekistan" was established.

The first vice-rector of the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage: Doctor of Philology, Professor Jo'liboy Danabayevich Eltazarov has been  awarded with the commemorative badge "30 th ANNIVERSARY OF THE CONSTITUTION OF UZBEKISTAN" for making a worthy contribution to the work of raising the scientific potential of our country, raising a healthy and mature generation, educating our youth in the spirit of patriotism and independence.

The commemorative badge has been handed over by the Deputy Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan Nusratilla Zikrillayev.

Our Constitution is 30 years old!

This year at the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage on December 7, a festive event was organized in connection with "December 8 - the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan" and the "Military-patriotic month" held in Samarkand region.
The event was attended by university employees, students, military personnel of the command of the troops of the Central Military District, orchestra team of the Central Military District. Military personnel and university students presented performances.
Also, the exhibition of hand-to-hand combat techniques by the servicemen of the 29080th military unit under the command of the troops of the Central Military District served to increase the patriotism of the holiday participants.
We all know and highly appreciate that our Constitution, which is the foundation of our lives, is a solid legal foundation for all our achievements and achievements in the years of independence.

"Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, operating in Samarkand, invites highly qualified professors and teachers with experience in conducting classes in Uzbek, Russian and English for the following subjects for the 2022-2023 academic year:

Requirements for candidates:

  • degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Science (DSc) (if available);
  • candidate's CV/résumé in English, Uzbek or Russian;
  • english certificate;
  • work experience in the field of higher education at least 2 years;
  • fluency in computer, office software and electronic devices.

In turn, the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage provides the following opportunities to the teaching staff:

Life without violence!

On December 5 this year, within the action “16 days against violence”, which is widely held throughout the world, including in our country, the President of the Women's Council of the University M. Abbasova and psychologist D. Turdiyeva visited the student dormitory, where they conducted a spiritual and educational event. International female students from Iran, India, Malaysia and Tajikistan also attended.

M.Abbasova expressed her views on gender equality, spoke about laws protecting women adopted in the Constitution of Uzbekistan and congratulated the participants on the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the main law of our country. She also spoke about normative legal documents on preventing violence against women and their rehabilitation. The meeting discussed current social problems arising in the lives of female students.

The university psychologist D. Turdeeva answered questions related to the psychological state of girls. Motivational training “Everything in your hands!” gave all participants a positive mood.

Student of the Year - 2022

In the "Student of the Year - 2022" competition held at the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, Sultanov Shahrukh won the 1st place, Sultanov Shokhrukh, recognized as worthy of the first place, is currently (during the 2022/2023 academic year) demonstrating his knowledge and experience and undergoing an internship in the field of logistics at Hamad International Airport in Qatar, which is ranked first in the world. During the internship, he completed more than 30 courses in the field of logistics and received certificates. In his free time, he conducts research on the culture and history of the state of Qatar. During the last academic year, he worked on 2 projects and participated in competitions, Mustafaqulova Sabina won the 2nd place, Amirulloyev Shodiyorar won the 3rd place.

Akramova Takhmina Kamiljonovna, a teacher of "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, was awarded the badge "Tourism Devotee" of the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan. TEA CEREMONY PERFORMED ON THE SILK ROAD

Tea ceremony, Sadoo, is a comprehensive, artistic culture of Japan. Through the ceremony, the guests learn the attention and care given to the choice of sweets, tea cups and the setting for them, and appreciate the hospitality of the host.

Japanese students who are staying in Samarkand made it possible to bring this traditional art of Japan to Uzbekistan. Recently, a tea ceremony was performed as an event of the Japanese club at the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. The participants enjoyed the taste and colour of Japanese green tea (learned how GREEN they are). The event provided an opportunity for the participants to learn Japanese culture as well as to meet new friends.

Also, the Yukata (Kimono for summer) corner made for women made a great impression on the participants. It is planned to prepare a similar corner for boys next year.

Announcement

On December 7, 2022, the Vice-Rector for Scientific Research and Innovation of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, Zou Tong Qian, will hold a webinar for the professors, teachers doctoral students, independent researchers and students of our university on the topic “How to publish articles in top journals” as well as taking into consideration the quality of the research and improvement of it. During the webinar professor of the School of Hospitality Industry and Business at George Washington University in the United States, Dr Larry Yu will present his speech who has published a series of refereed journal papers in the top tourism and hospitality journals including Tourism Management, Journal of Travel Research, International Journal of Hospitality Management, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, Tourism Geographies, Event Management, Journal of Hospitality Marketing and Management, Journal of Heritage Tourism, Cornell Hotel and Restaurant Administration Quarterly, Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Research.

The defence of the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) dissertation work of an independent researcher from Bukhara State University Qodirov Azizjon Anvarovich, in the field of 08.00.17- Tourism and Hospitality Activities will take place on December 10, 2022, at 10:30 am at the conference hall of the university during the Scientific Council meeting numbered under DSc.33/01.02. 2022.I.145.01.

The teacher of the Department “Tourism Management” Makhmudova Zarina organized an open lesson for students of the 1st year, group Tour-121. The lesson was attended by “Malika Praym” hotel manager Anna Vladimirovna, “Grand Samarkand Superior” hotel manager Ismatova Zarnigor and head of the Department of Tourism Management Associate Professor Akmaljon Odilov and professors and teachers of the department were invited.

The open lesson was held by the head of the "Tourism Management" department, Associate Professor Akmaljon Odilov opened up and expressed his opinion about the need to organize science in harmony with practice.

The open class made it possible to discuss theoretical knowledge acquired by students with qualified specialists. Also, both managers gave detailed answers to the students' questions about their activities.

At the end of the lesson, the guests invited the students to go on a practical visit to the hotel where they are operating in order to have the opportunity to observe everything that was discussed during the open lesson in the hotel itself.
