In accordance with the order of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations of the Republic of Uzbekistan from December 4, 2023 № 516 “On the appointment of presidential and personal state scholarships of the Republic of Uzbekistan to undergraduate students of higher educational institutions of the republic for the academic year 2023-2024”, Oromjonova Shakhrizoda Oromjonovna, a 3rd year student of the educational direction “Tourism” of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, was awarded a state scholarship named after Navoi.

On the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the National Guard Department organized competitions in horse riding, horse wrestling and archery in the Ogalik district of Samarkand region.
During the competition, qualified riders showed their professional training and high skill in practice. The organizers presented memorable souvenirs to the winners and prize-winners of the competitions.

On December 6 of this year, the festival “Crossroads of Cultures” under the slogan “My Constitution is 31 years old” dedicated to the Constitution Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan held at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

For three years in a row, university professors K.Mustaev and O.Boynazarov have been organizing the festival “Crossroads of Cultures”. This year the festival was held under the slogan “My Constitution is 31 years old”, dedicated to the day of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan. As part of the festival, students performed plays demonstrating the customs, cuisine and history of different nations. 

 In turn, the festival serves the study and preservation of universal values, culture, history of national rites, strengthening of sincere friendship between peoples, further improvement of humanism in our country and expansion of cultural and spiritual ties at the international level.

Uzbekistan is a country in which tolerance, respect, dialogue and interaction between different cultures, civilizations and peoples have been developed.

Five talented female students of the club “Kizlarjon” and “Girls Leaders”, organized by the Women’s Advisory Council of our university, got a chance to participate in the regional stage of the State Award named after Zulfiya in various directions. Sabina Mustafakulova, a 3rd year student in the direction of science, Mukaddas Sadinova in the direction of culture, Fatima, Zuhro Bakhromkulova in the direction of public and Shakhnigorbegim Zhuraeva, a 4th year student in the direction of literature, were recognized as winners and also took part in the regional stage. At the moment their participation is considered by members of the jury. We wish the students of our university success.

On December 2-3 of this year, on the initiative of the department of student practices of our university, practical classes were organized for students at the UNWTO International Tourism Academy, which was established at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

In this academy, among several directions, bakery for preparation of confectionery products, equipped with modern technologies, was also handed over.

Dildora Jurakulova, a specialist with 15 years of experience in the field of confectionery preparation, held a master class for 16 undergraduate and graduate students and taught the secrets of cooking eight different types of sweets. This process was especially interesting for our students who came from abroad.

Similar practical classes are planned to be held in large numbers in the future.

On December 6 of this year a festive event on the topic “The Constitution is a guarantee of our rights and freedoms” held at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. The festive event began with the anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan. After that, the first vice-rector of our university J.Eltazarov congratulated everyone on December 8 with the 31st anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan. As it is known, at the national referendum which held on April 30 this year, our people voted for the updated Constitution. Our Constitution has become significant because it has embodied the national values of our people and satisfies the requirements of democracy. The festive event featured theatrical shows prepared by the first-year students of our university, as well as singing songs that embodied the customs of different nationalities.

On December 2 of this year, 25 teachers and students from MTA/MBA Education Center of Beijing International Studies University (BISU), led by Prof. Luo Xinqing, director of MTA/MBA Education Center, visited “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. The Vice-Rector of our university, Prof. Tony Zou met the guests and told them about the large-scale work being carried out in our country today in the field of tourism and training of qualified specialists for it. He also told the guests about the tasks realized in the activity of the Academy of Tourism, about how theory and practice are harmoniously combined. The guests also expressed their opinion that Samarkand made a great impression on them, as well as about the conditions created for students to study at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.
