A group of students of the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage as volunteers took part in the Youth Tourism Festival, which was held on August 8-12 this year in the “ Lochin” camp of Shakhrisabz district.

It should be noted that more than 15,000 people participated in the first day of the festival. More than 700 of them are young people from all regions of Uzbekistan. In addition, at the event there were foreign participants from other countries.

As a part of the festival were organized, reading days and cultural and entertainment events, master classes, competitions in national sports, creative meetings, concerts and other events.

Participation in this project served to increase students' experience in organizing mass events in the field of tourism.

It is worth noting that the Youth Tourism Festival was held in an atmosphere of friendship and high spirits. The event allowed young people from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan to get acquainted and exchange experiences. Games and competitions have further strengthened the friendship between young people. The Youth Festival has become a solid platform for the opportunities of talented youth.

On August 16 of this year, representatives of the Samarkand International Technological University, headed by Rector, Professor, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences Yusuf Abdullayev visited the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

The guests of honor were accompanied by the First Vice-Rector, Professor Juliboy Eltazarov. During the study tour, the guests were provided with detailed information about the results of cooperation with international universities and tourist organizations. The guests also visited the educational and production complex, which includes hotel rooms, a bar-restaurant, a conference hall, language rooms, and also got acquainted with the unique historical elements of the Great Silk Road installed in the galleries.

The guests were especially impressed by the University Library, which contains an impressive collection of unique books dedicated to the preservation of cultural heritage. Through the efforts of the Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, Rector of the “Silk Road” University Aziz Abdukhakimov, about 20 thousand books were delivered to the library in the shortest possible time in such areas as tourism, art, history, archeology, ethnology, geopolitics, economics, cultural studies, religious studies, painting, sculpture, architecture, cultural heritage published in all corners of the world.

It is worth noting that the Samarkand International Technological University will very soon open its doors to train highly qualified specialists with advanced engineering knowledge, creative thinking, skills in creating and implementing innovative technologies.

She did a great contribution in one book: Ancient Arms Race: Antiquity's Largest Fortresses and Sasanian Military networks of Northern Iran, edited by Erberhard Sauer et al.,

And published 2 book-chapters during this academic years in 2021-2022 including:

1.Chemical and vibrational spectroscopic analyses of similar types of vessels from forts on the Great Wall of Gorgan and fortifications in its hinterland

2.Comparative studies of the Sasanian ceramics from forts on the Great Wall of Gorgan and fortifications in its hinterland

 Maria Dagmekhchi won a full scholarship to study archeology and art history at Koch University in Turkey. The activity at the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage has ended today. The first vice-rector of the university, prof. J.D. Eltazarov handed him a certificate from his workplace.

In the near future, our colleague will leave for Turkey. On behalf of the management of our university and the team of professors and teachers, we wish success and luck to Maria Dagmehchi, who is entering a new and responsible stage of her life. We believe that he will soon return to our university as a specialist in archeology and art history.

It is known that, on the initiative of the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan, painters from Uzbekistan and other SCO member countries are currently in Samarkand, creating artistic canvases about the ancient monuments of our city, region and country, the daily life and history of our people.

Dilorom Mamedova, a famous painter in our country, is among these artists. "Threshold", "Arrival and departure", "Childhood", "Umr Utar", "Life in the village", "Nature of the field", "Beauty of winter", "Childhood", "Wall", "Pomegranate", written by this artist. In hundreds of canvases such as "Ghilon", "Fall", "Soqmak", "Chervok" the beautiful nature scenes of our Motherland, the sad and joyful scenes of human life are expressed with great skill and brought great fame and applause to Dilorom Mamedova.

The artistic canvases of the Uzbek artist have been shown at exhibitions in different countries of the world, as well as the works of Dilorom Mammadova are included in the museums and personal collections of Uzbekistan, Russia, Turkey, Germany, USA, Switzerland, England, Japan, India, Austria, Iran, Israel, Kuwait.

Dilorom Mamedova donated a collection of her albums and guest artists' albums to the university library. Students and teachers can successfully use these albums to study cultural heritage and its preservation.

On August 10 of this year, the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage hosted an explanatory event on the adopted Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PD-776 "On Advertising" dated June 7 of this year.

Teachers, professional guides conducted the lectures, as well as practical classes for volunteers. Various topics related to the upcoming SCO events were been discussed.

Students participated in the training seminars actively, received valuable information from teachers and engaged in intellectual self-development.

The students also visited the historical site - the Afrosiab Museum. There, the students were accompanied by a professional guide - Beknazar Berdiyev, an excursion was been conducted for volunteers, where they received useful and interesting information.
Also, some volunteers felt like guides themselves when they were sharing information about our city, traditions, and history with other volunteers along the way.

- According to the recommendation letter of the Ministry of Education or Tourism of the SCO member states, the list of up to 10 candidates participating in the essay contest with the recommendation letter of the Ministry of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan is accepted electronically;

Concept of "Navoi Ghazal Khan" contest:

- According to the recommendation letter of the Ministry of Education or Tourism of the SCO member states, the list of up to 10 candidates participating in the ghazal khan contest will be accepted electronically in the Republic of Uzbekistan with the recommendation letter of the Ministry of Public Education;

- One of the Navoi's following famous ghazals such as: "Karo kuzum”, “Orazin yopkoch kozumdin...”, “Un sakkiz ming olam oshubi...”, “Meni men istagan...”, “Jonga chun derman”, “Nozaninlar benavolarga tarakhum aylangiz...”, “Mehr kup kurguzdum, ammo…”, “Mubtalo buldim sanga”, “Kecha kelgumdir debon...”, "Yordin ayru kungul..." is chosen by the candidates;

- candidates must be school graduates;

- ghazals are required to be read expressively in Uzbek by the candidates;

- the candidates themselves prepare a video of the process of reading a ghazal. The duration of The duration of the video should not exceed 3 minutes;
