"Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage is pleased to announce the opportunity to participate in scholarship programs offered to support active and talented students!

For the 2024-2025 academic year, the admission of documents for the scholarship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the state scholarship named after Islam Karimov and the state scholarship named after Navoi begins.

Applicants:

Students of the 2nd, 3rd year of bachelor's degree.

Students in the 2nd, 3rd year of bachelor's degree can apply for the scholarship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the state scholarship named after Islam Karimov and the state scholarship named after Navoi.

The qualification indicator of applicants for the scholarship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan must be 100% excellent;

The admission rate of applicants for the Islam Karimov State Scholarship and Navoi State Scholarship may be higher up to 25%.

The deadline for submitting documents for the university stage of the competition is until June 20, 2024.

Family is a sacred dwelling place

On May 14, 2024, in the attendance of M. Abbasova, Chairwoman of the Women's Advisory Council of "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, student youth and teachers, a round table on the theme "Family is a sacred dwelling place" was held in dedication to the "International Family Day" celebrated on May 15.

M. Abbasova, chairwoman of the Women's Advisory Council of the university, F. Gaybullaev, head of staff of the city council of the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, B. Rakhmonov, editor of the newspaper " Voice of Samarkand" and a group of party activists, A. Odilov, head of the department of "Tourism" participated in the event and gave speeches on the topic.

Also at the event, students received necessary recommendations on such important issues as raising a child in a family, family and legal relations in youth, psychology of family life, family economy and budget, basics of reproductive health, respectful attitude to the promotion of spiritual and moral values.

The event, full of questions and answers, was significant in terms of the importance for students and young people in the future to become part of society with a family.

On May 14 of this year, Liu Guojun, Vice Premier of the State Council of China, during his visit to Samarkand, met with the regional leadership to discuss further development of cooperation in the socio-economic sphere.

The honored guest also held a meeting with Prof. Tony Zou, Vice Rector of "Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage" at "Silk Road Mingyu" Hotel.

During the dialog, he provided information on the activities of the "Belt and Road" archaeological laboratory of our university, the practical work on the construction of "Window of Shandong" and its future activities.

Prof. Tony Zou also held a meeting with Ambassador of Uzbekistan to China Farhad Arziev and invited the Ambassador to our university. Farhad Arziev, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to China, also said in his speech that he was very glad that "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage was developing day by day and that he would be able to visit the university.

M.A.Yorkulov, head of academic planning and development and independent researcher of "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, gave a lecture at the HTWG Konstanz University of Applied Sciences, ranked 478th in the QS World University Rankings – 2024 on the topic "Strategic development of regional tourism". Furthermore, the students of the university were informed about the touristic potential of Uzbekistan, in particular Samarkand region.

An exhibition of paintings was organized as part of the "National Values" event held at "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

An exhibition of books on the history of Uzbekistan, the life of famous poets and scientists, national values, customs and traditions was organized as part of the "National Values" event held at "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. 

Within the framework of the "National Values" event held at "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, students performed Uzbek national traditions, lapars, and classical songs, which are considered our national songs.

National clothes were presented by students as part of the "National Values" event held at "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

The event "National Values" was organized at "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. Students, foreign teachers and experts working at our university, foreign students were invited to this event. Within the framework of the event, the students performed Uzbek national traditions, lapars and classic songs, which are considered our national music.

Charlotte Adriaen, EU Ambassador in Uzbekistan, participated in a seminar held on May 13-14 at "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

At the seminar, the experts talked about practical work in the sphere of higher education in Uzbekistan, cooperation projects with the European Union in this direction. In her speech, Mrs. Charlotte expressed the opinion that today the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev supports the education sector in every possible way, and the European Union in turn does not leave the development of the education sector without support.
