On 18 November 2023, on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the adoption of the state flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan, among the students of the university were organised qualifying competitions “Rector’s Cup” and Student League on mini-football.

The competitions held in uncompromising sports form. According to the results of the competition, the team “Unity” consisting of fourth year students took the 3rd place, the team “Counter team” consisting of first year students took the 2nd place, the team “Eagles” consisting of fourth year students took the 1st place.

The national flag of the country is considered a symbol of state sovereignty, it signifies that within these borders of the Earth there exists an independent state of Uzbekistan, and epitomises our national and cultural traditions.

In connection with the 32nd anniversary of the adoption of the flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which winds in the height and is a beacon of success, students and tutors of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage took part in a flash mob under the slogan “My flag winds”.

Also tutors of the university G.Hasanova, S.Abbasova, M.Raupova, P.Islamov and the department of work with youth and organisation of events held an essay competition dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of the adoption of the law of the state flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Students expressed their opinion on the theme “My flag is my pride”, that the national flag is the pride of the nation.

The flash mob and events organised with the participation of students serve to strengthen respect and reverence for the symbols of the state in them.

On 15 November of this year, an event entitled “Uzbekistan - a country where tolerance, respect, communication and interaction between different cultures, civilisations and peoples are developed” held at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism. Vice-rector of our university, Professor J.Hoffmann, and talented students of the university took part in it. On holding the “Week of Tolerance”, J.Hoffmann spoke about the practical steps taken today in Uzbekistan to preserve universal values and strengthen sincere friendship between peoples. It is worth noting that tolerance, strengthening ties of mutual consent between peoples are included in the laws of our country. Today not only teachers of most countries of the world are studying, but also students at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. They are provided with all conditions and opportunities for free pastime in our country.
It was also stated at the event that the Day of Tolerance is a special expression of mutual respect between many peoples living in our country.

On 15 November of this year, a rector’s hour was held at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. The rector of the university A.Abdukhakimov held it in English. University vice-rectors, heads of university departments, heads of departments, professors and teachers attended the meeting. As it is known, today tourism industry in our country has reached a new level. In training qualified specialists in this field, our university is entrusted with a huge number of duties and tasks. In this regard, the rector of our university A.Abdukhakimov said that our professors and teachers should carry out activities using their high pedagogical skills in teaching students. It was also said that the activity of the Academy of Tourism should be raised to a new level. On this occasion, the lecturer of Department of “Tourism Management” of our university Artem Klikov made a presentation. In the past presentation in English language were expressed analytical opinions about the activities of the Academy of Tourism, laboratories, libraries on gastronomic tourism, created for its students, the process of classes, gave detailed answers to questions.  Also, Vice-Rector of our university J.Hoffman and other lecturers expressed their opinions on the results of the rector’s hour.

On 15 November of this year the delegation headed by Du Zhanyuan, Head of Foreign Language Publishing and Distribution Department of the People’s Republic of China, visited our university. Rector of our university A.Abdukhakimov welcomed the guests. It was noted that today co-operation between Uzbekistan and China is strengthening day by day. In this regard, our university has also established cooperation with a number of higher education institutions in China. Also during the dialogue, Du Zhanyuan, head of the Publishing Department of the People’s Republic of China, expressed warm feelings about “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and educational processes in it, noting that both sides are interested in further strengthening cooperation. During the visit, the guests presented a collection of books to the library of the university, as well as had a closer look at the activities of the National Costume Gallery and the tourism laboratory set up for students.

rTo the attention of researchers who have applied to study at higher education institutes at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage for the 2024 academic year. On November 23 of this year at 02:30 p.m, entrance exams will be conducted for independent researchers, doctorate (PhD) applicants as well as postdoctoral (PhD) applicants.

Examinations for admission to basic doctorate studies (PhD) and interviews for admission to independent researchers are conducted by “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

EXAMS SCHEDULE

*The entrance examinations for applicants who have submitted documents for admission to postgraduate programs at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage are conducted based on the examination programs of specialized subjects (examination programs are provided for each specialization).
