Job Responsibilities:

A teacher-pedagogue in the student residence of the university (hereinafter - SR), organizing students after classes free time meaningful and effective and educating them mentioned in the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Education" and based on the tasks defined in the Decrees of the President of the Republic, the decisions of the Oliy Majlis and the Cabinet of Ministers, as well as the orders and instructions of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation, inculcating  the national idea in the minds of university students and inculcating in them the spirituality of a free citizen and the personality of a free human being, the issue of formation, to further increase the political awareness and vigilance of students and young people, educating  their active reaction to the changes, events, and reforms taking place in society, increasing their responsiveness, and protecting them from the influence of various extremist currents that threaten the development of our country. It also consists of forming the spirit of moral education and educating perfect person.

The educator-pedagogue organizes spiritual and educational work at SR and deals with the educational work of students.

  Spiritual and educational work in SR is carried out together with the department that work with talented youth and the following partners:

Council of the primary organization of the Youth Union;

Women’s Council of the university;

Trade Union Committee;

Faculty deans;

Chairs;

Representatives of other public organizations.

Representatives of partner organizations visit SR according to the established plan.

Prepares an annual plan for spiritual and educational affairs at SR and is approved by the vice-rector for spiritual and educational affairs;

- He holds roundtable discussions on the problems that are bothering the students of SR and issues of interest to them, organizes debates on interesting topics, and spends evenings on spiritual and educational topics.

- organizes tutors' visits to student residences based on the developed plan;

- provides insights and guidance on students' living conditions and their problems related to lessons;

- controls how much attention is paid to the student's manners, behavior, and dress code;

- organizes "department days" based on the appropriate plan;

- helps to organize the work of the student council and increase its responsibility (when necessary, it puts the behavior of students into the discussion of the student council);

- monitors the tidiness of the floors and rooms, the correctness or malfunction of the floor equipment, and brings existing problems to the attention of the head of the student residence and the management of the institute;

-conducts an inspection of the "Exemplary Room" and makes proposals to encourage the owners of the winning rooms and improve the social situation of students;

- conducts explanatory work on the passport and entry-exit system, as well as the rational use of room equipment for fire safety in the SR;

- Submits information to the administration of the student residence and faculty deans and vice-rectors to discuss and expel students who have violated the rules and regulations introduced in the SR from the student residence;

-meetings and conversations with prominent public figures, scientists, writers, poets, and artists in accordance with the plan of spiritual and educational work in the cultural recreation rooms of SR, dedicated to the holidays and solemn dates of our state and people. and takes an active part in conducting question-and-answer evenings; organizes students' visits to museums, theaters, and exhibitions in coordination with the department of work with youth, spirituality, and enlightenment; and the department of work with talented youth;

-makes suggestions for equipping the SR based on modern design requirements, putting the necessary slogans, pictures, and wall plaques;

In order to increase students' legal awareness, observe laws, and prevent crime, it is ensured that meetings of law enforcement agencies

- prosecutor's office, court, and internal affairs officers with students at SR are held at a high level every quarter of the year;

- introduces students to the life of the educational institution, its rich historical traditions, the activities of public organizations, as well as the requirements set for future specialists;

-forms a database of students living in SR;

-regularly communicates with the parents of students living in SR and provides information about their children's general condition and education based on their requests;

- in similar educational institutions with experienced teacher educators from similar educational institutions, regularly exchanging experience with them;

- as well as improving the system of extra-curricular work for students in SR, ensuring the effectiveness of educational work with youth, attracting students to socially useful work, interesting activities, organizing their cultural recreation, mastering subjects and preparing lessons, improving conditions, ensuring strict adherence to the order of entry and exit from the student dormitory, warning about the goals and aspirations of various foreign ideas, and conducting educational activities on diseases such as drug addiction, AIDS, and other diseases.

   All spiritual and educational events organized at SR are carried out in cooperation with the Student Council.

The educator-teacher has the right to make proposals to the rector on the adoption of administrative and organizational measures regarding the activities of the teaching staff and departments that have not ensured the implementation of the events planned for implementation in student dormitories.

Spiritual, educational, legal, and educational activities carried out in student dormitories are carried out within the framework of the university’s spiritual and educational work plan.

Strengthen academic cooperation and exchange along the Silk Road; create educational materials accessible to youth by improving the quality of education and science; organize a public platform for personnel training;

On April 2-4 of this year, Professor D. Nasimov, First Vice Rector for Administrative Affairs of "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, J. Kholboev, Head of the Department for Work with Professional Educational Institutions, and H. Temirov, Leading Specialist for Material Valuables, visited Khiva Technical School of Tourism and Cultural Heritage in Khorezm region. At first, the officials carefully familiarized with the material and technical base of the educational institution and conditions created for laboratories of educational practice, teachers and students. After that, the representatives of the technical school held a close dialog with the teacher and their students. During the dialog the officials and teachers of the technical school of our university touched upon the pressing issues of further improvement of the educational process, training of qualified specialists in the field of tourism.

On 6 April of this year, students of Khiva Technical School of Tourism and Cultural Heritage were organised a tour through the city of Samarkand. During the trip, they visited historical monuments such as the mausoleums of Amir Temur, Shakhizinda, Ulugbek Observatory, Bibikhonim mosque complex and Registan Square and learnt more about their history.

Importantly, the visitors to Samarkand from the Khiva Technical School of Tourism and Cultural Heritage also visited "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, where they familiarised with the conditions and opportunities created for studying and education.

On April 5, a total of six hours’ seminar held on “Types of service in the hospitality industry” at the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage for employees working in the area of the “Ohalik-Aqboyro-Mironkul” tourist and recreational zone. A total of 15 participants, including chairpersons of neighborhoods, assistant governors and entrepreneurs participated in the seminar.

Seminars are conducted by highly qualified professors and teachers of the Tourism department of the university.

Mohammad Ahmed Mohamed Mohamed Mohamed Mohamed (2023-2024), who currently works as a lecturer in the Department of Archaeology at Ain Shams University in Cairo and Department of History and Cultural Heritage at "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, got an ITP grant from the British Museum. The main objective of Muhammad Ahmad's research based on the grant is to work on a project to open the first museum for children in Samarkand and establish its activities.

On 2 April of this year, the women's council of our university organised a master class on "Learning to cook our national cuisine" as part of the "Culinary Secrets" club.

The guests of the master class were active women teachers of our university. The chairwoman of the women's council of our university told the participants of the master class about the secrets of delicious cooking of Uzbek national dishes, because the cuisine of each nation embodies the culture, history and ancient traditions of its state. Also during the master class, the teachers shared their experience with the students about the history of our national dishes and salads, the processes of their preparation and the secrets of making sweets.

On April 4 of this year, a training seminar for faculty and researchers was organized at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. Deputy Director of the Samarkand branch of Tashkent State University of Economics Farkhod Akhrorov was invited to the seminar.

During the seminar, Ph.D. in Economics, Associate Professor Farkhod Akhrorov spoke about modern requirements for scientific and practical projects published by foreign donor organizations and how to prepare proposals for grant projects.

On 3 April, a meeting with tourism enterprises operating in Samarkand region was held at "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. The meeting, led by the deputy governor of the region, R. Kabilov, was attended by organisations responsible for the tourism sector and hotel managers. At the event, A.Sultanov, Head of the Horika Department of our university, expressed his firmness in such issues as establishing permanent cooperation between students of our university and organisations working in the tourism sector, ensuring the participation of students in practical processes. All questions were discussed at the meeting, their suggestions and comments were listened to.

For reference, currently our university has co-operation agreements with more than 300 hotel enterprises and companies.

The responsible employees of the Marketing and Recruitment Department of our university held a meeting with the students of the graduating classes of the 17th general education school of Samarkand. At the meeting, the pupils were provided with full information about the specialities of interest to young people in the field of tourism and cultural heritage. It aroused great interest among the pupils of the graduating class, they asked what prestigious universities our university co-operates with abroad, what opportunities are open to the pupils. These questions were also answered in detail.
