On these days, within the framework of the 14th meeting of the conference of participants of the UN Convention for the preservation of migratory species of wild animals (CMS COP14), which held in Samarkand, an exhibition of paintings entitled “The Moving unique fauna” was opened in the Art residence by the International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage “Silk Road”. The opening of the exhibition was attended by the Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and climate change of Uzbekistan, Rector of University Aziz Abduhakimov and heads of international organizations, forum participants. The organizers noted that the main goal of this creative Plener is to strengthen the feeling of affection for unique nomads included in the "Red Book of Uzbekistan", to demonstrate the unique natural heritage of our country, to raise the ecological culture and consciousness of the younger generation. The exhibition features about 100 paintings by 40 young artists, sorted by plener, organized in January of this year in collaboration with the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and climate change, the Academy of Fine Arts and the Uzbekistan State Art Museum. Among them, it is established that the best creative works are selected by a prestigious jury, and the authors are awarded with cash prizes. The exhibition will be open to locals and visitors for a month.

Today, 12 January, in the room 119 of "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage a meeting on the use and quality maintenance of Hemis system is held. The meeting, led by A.Gadaev, attended the heads of departments and heads of departments responsible for this topic. Speaking at the meeting, A.Tukhtamishov, Head of the Department of Education Quality Assurance and Accreditation, told about the results of the first semester and further improvement of the quality of education during the class. The meeting also exchanged views on the information about the attendance of students who left more than 74 hours of classes in the first semester, on the payment and attendance of students who were sent a warning letter, as well as on the division of groups, inclusion of their teachers' data in the Hemis system.

At the critical and analytical last meeting, necessary directions and instructions were given to the heads of responsible departments and divisions.

Bukhara Technical School of Tourism and Cultural Heritage aims to train qualified personnel in accordance with international standards in the field of tourism and service management. To this end, various master classes, on-site training practices are constantly organised during the educational process, and students' knowledge and skills are enhanced.

On the 9th of February of this year a master class was organised for students in the technical workshop "Service in the restaurant hall" together with Bukhara City Monomark "Welcome To Work".

At the master class, conducted by a specialist with many years of experience in this field G. Rahimova, the rules of service in the restaurant hall, processes of service and communication with customers, tablecloths were perfectly mastered.

Medical check-up of the first and second year students of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage started in order to ensure the implementation of “Preventive examinations, screening programmes and measures to further improve the implementation of health check-up of the population” of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 27 July 2022. Students of our university on 7-16 February of the current year take a medical check-up with the participation of specialists of a wide profile of multidisciplinary polyclinic of Samarkand city.

Every day the growing authority of "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage arouses great interest in all regions of our republic.  A vivid example of this is the recent visit to our university of about 40 young people studying at the "Level up" training centre in the city of Karshi, Kashkadarya region, who got acquainted with the conditions of education here. Head of marketing and admission department O. Akbarov told in detail about the work carried out in this university, about innovations in the education system. After that, the students had an opportunity to get acquainted with the facilities created for students at the university.

         - I have heard a lot about “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. Today it is destined to come to the university and get acquainted. I was shocked by the facilities here. It was because of my interest in the field of tourism that I set my goal to study at this international university," says one of the young people.

Students play sport in their free time

Today our university constantly holds various competitions to organise students’ leisure time in a meaningful way, to attract young people to sports.

Recently, the physical education coaches of our university organised inter-team friendly volleyball games among students, in which the winners were determined.

8 февраля 2024 года по инициативе проректора по научной и инновационной деятельности Международного университета туризма и культурного наследия «Шелковый путь» Тун Цянь Цзоу был организован семинар для преподавателей, докторантов и студентов университета.

В качестве гостя в семинаре принял участие заместитель хокима Самаркандской области по молодежной политике, социальному развитию и духовным вопросам Рустам Раджаббоевич Кобилов. На семинаре была проведена лекция на тему «Разработка стратегии туризма в Самаркандской области».

On February 8, 2024, on the initiative of the Vice-Rector for Scientific Researches and Innovations of the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, Tong Qian Zou, a seminar was organized for teachers, doctoral students and students of the university.

The Deputy Governor of the Samarkand region for youth policy, social development and spiritual issues, Rustam Rajabboevich Kobilov, took part in the seminar as a guest. At the seminar, lecture was held on the topic “Tourism starategy  development in Samarkand region”.

On 8 February, the regional newspaper “Zarafshan” published an article by the first vice-rector of our university, Professor J.Eltazarov, about the successes achieved in the field of education at "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

The article talks about the tasks set in the strategy “Uzbekistan-2030” and their implementation, the fact that “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage has a national certificate, and the newest task is to enter the thousand best universities in the world with international certification and accreditation in the future.

The article also talked about the organisation of departments at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage (“Uzbek Studies”) by the decision of the President.
