Today, on April 7, 2022, the “National Costumes Day” campaign is being held at the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. Since early morning, the faculty and Administration of the university were dressed in national costumes, which are an integral part of the culture of any nation. It's not just clothes, but a big story that can tell about the whole nation. It is necessary to protect it, as well as traditions and customs.

The purpose of this event is the preservation and development of national culture.

In order to effectively spend the leisure time of students, on April 6, 2022 was organized an intellectual game "Zakovat" at the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. In this competition took part 12 teams.

On April 6 of this year, representatives of the People's Republic of China, led by Advisor to the Ambassador Chi Junlin, visited the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

During the introductory tour of the university, the adviser was impressed by the university's management model, unique historical elements of the Great Silk Road, installed galleries and the university Library.

Also, during the visit, was opened a Chinese corner in the hall of the Silk Road University Library in the presence of the Counselor of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China and the first Vice-rector of the University, J.Eltazarov.

The Chinese adviser noted that cooperation between the two countries is steadily developing in many areas, including cultural, humanitarian and educational, and the agreements reached between the leaders of our states are an important basis for this.

It is worth noting that this year the Chinese Corner will be equipped with more than 500 editions of educational and fiction literature, textbooks covering the entire tourist sphere, didactic materials, modern technologies for teaching Chinese, culture and restoration of cultural heritage.

At the end of the visit, the parties exchanged memorable gifts.

On April 5 of this year, teachers of the Department of "Languages" of the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Baimatova M.A., Abduvakhabova U.Yu., Akramova T.K., Yakubova M.K. was held an event in the format of an open lesson with first-year students on the topic: "The book is a reflection of spirituality."   

During the event, students told their selected poems in English, shared their impressions of the books they had read recently, as well as during a brainstorming session, students conducted a stylistic analysis of statements and proverbs on the topic: "Book Lover".

At the end of the open lesson, active students were awarded diplomas.

On April 5 of this year, in the dormitory No.1, the first vice-rector of the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage J.Eltazarov, Chairman of the Council of Women M.Abbasova, together with university tutors B.Allamurodov and G.Khusainova, organized a round table on topics: "Human dignity", "Protection of the rights and honor of female students" and "Internet- friend or foe".

During the event, the first vice-rector of the University J.Eltazarov noted that in 2022-2026, a number of broad opportunities will be created for women in the economic, political and social life of the country, especially in the education system. M.Abbasova stressed that the legitimate rights, honor and dignity of the family are above all today, therefore, opinions were heard and expressed on the above topics.

At the end of the round table, was conducted an anonymous survey in order to combat harassment and violence against female students and prevent these vices in our society.

On April 4, a job fair was held at the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. The tourist complex “SilkRoadSamarkand”, “Regional Employment Offices” and travel agency “Sogda-tour” made presentations for university students and during the seminar was given detailed information about vacancies and employment

In order to implement the tasks of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to ensure the employment of students of higher educational institutions, on April 4 this year, a "Job Fair" was organized at the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage on the initiative of the Khokimiyat of the Samarkand region. 

This fair was attended by representatives of the restaurant and hotel business, representatives of the Airport, Tourist Center, Museum Management, Registan Ensemble, etc.

The purpose of this event is to improve the quality of services in the field of tourism and provide employment with qualified personnel, as well as to widely involve employers in presenting vacant jobs available to them, and potential employees in finding work acceptable to them, including through direct contact with employers.

During the event, all organizations held a presentation for students and graduates of the University, so that they could get acquainted with the bank of vacancies and independently choose options and conditions of employment.

One of the 5 important initiatives by the President of our country to increase the spirituality of young people and organize their leisure is the program of the “Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage to promote reading books among students.

As the President of our country noted, it is necessary to pay special attention to increasing the interest of young people in reading, their familiarization with books, and further improving the reading level of students. To do this, it is important, first of all, to pay special attention to the placement on social networks and wide promotion of the best samples of national and world literature.

On April 1st 2022 at the “Silk Road" University under the guidance of the Dean of the Faculty of Tourism Management R.Toshniezova and the student club “Society of Book Lovers" discussed the famous novel by Javlan Dzhovliev "Don't be afraid".

Today, was held a "Speaking Club" among students at our university. The main purpose of the event is to exchange views, talk about events in the lives of students and, most importantly, to get rid of the stress with a help of reading. The organizers of the Speaking Club are students of group 204 and the founder is a student of this group Isroilov Hamidillo. The Speaking Club is held every Friday at 12:00.
