On December 6 of this year a festive event on the topic “The Constitution is a guarantee of our rights and freedoms” held at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. The festive event began with the anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan. After that, the first vice-rector of our university J.Eltazarov congratulated everyone on December 8 with the 31st anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan. As it is known, at the national referendum which held on April 30 this year, our people voted for the updated Constitution. Our Constitution has become significant because it has embodied the national values of our people and satisfies the requirements of democracy. The festive event featured theatrical shows prepared by the first-year students of our university, as well as singing songs that embodied the customs of different nationalities.

On December 6 of this year, the chairman of the Women’s Council of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage M.Abbasova together with the tutor P.Islamov, in order to get acquainted with the living conditions of the students, to determine how much the environment is formed, to study the opinions of the owners of the apartments about the students, organized another visit to the addresses of the students.

Under the slogan “We are all responsible for female students living in rented apartments”, the responsible persons held discussions with fourth-year students Gulnoza Esonova and Shornigorbegim Dzhuraeva, who live in a 20-apartment on 38 Gagarin Street in Samarkand city, as well as with those who live in rented apartments in 9 student apartment on the basis of public-private partnership, studied their health, warmth in living rooms. In addition, close conversations were held with the owners of these rented apartments and those in charge of the hostel about the behavior and created conditions of our students.  Also during the talks, students were advised about national values, traditions and the oriental educational importance of the hostess family and were given adequate explanations about primary fire and other technical safety issues in the rented apartments.

On December 5 of this year the students of our university earned the applause of the audience by demonstrating their talent in this performance at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, dedicated to the Day of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, approved by the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan № F-72 dated November 16, 2023, under the slogan “My Constitution is 31 years old” and within the framework of the grant project of the U.S. Embassy.

On December 4 of this year, a seminar on “Application of Experimental Design and Big Data in Tourism Research” was held. Tony Zou, Vice Rector for Research, Innovation and Commercialization of our university, participated in it at an international research conference.

On December 2 of this year, 25 teachers and students from MTA/MBA Education Center of Beijing International Studies University (BISU), led by Prof. Luo Xinqing, director of MTA/MBA Education Center, visited “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. The Vice-Rector of our university, Prof. Tony Zou met the guests and told them about the large-scale work being carried out in our country today in the field of tourism and training of qualified specialists for it. He also told the guests about the tasks realized in the activity of the Academy of Tourism, about how theory and practice are harmoniously combined. The guests also expressed their opinion that Samarkand made a great impression on them, as well as about the conditions created for students to study at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

Today our state pays special attention to the issues of supporting youth, helping them to get a profession, solving their problems, and a lot of practical work is being done in this direction.

On December 4, 2023, headed by the first vice-rector Professor J. Eltazarov, the staff of the university of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, visited the apartment of Hodjaev Mumin Sadigovich, a citizen living in the mahalla “Kushchinor” of Samarkand city, with the purpose of support, education, education, those in need of social protection, training, internship and employment.

On February 4-7, 2024, the Science Club of the State of Kuwait planned to hold the fourteenth International Invention Fair of the Middle East (IIFME), where cash prizes will be awarded to the winning inventors. By researching in detail on the internet about “The International Invention Fair of the Middle East (IIFME)” at  www.iifme.com, citizens studying or working in higher education institutions can directly contact the Kuwaiti organization and make arrangements to participate in the exhibition. On November 30 of this year, members of the delegation led by Zhenyi, Deputy Director of Beijing Academy of Social Sciences, visited our university. The first vice-rector of our university J.Eltazarov welcomed the guests. During the dialog it was said that today “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage established cooperation relations with a number of universities in China, and 10 students from China study at our university. Also Jin Sy, deputy director of Beijing Academy of Social Sciences, said that Samarkand is the gateway of tourism, and the establishment of mutual cooperation in tourism and educational spheres is beneficial for both sides. At the meeting, J. Hoffman, vice-rector of our university, and Tony Zou and others exchanged views on such important issues as further improving cooperation in science and education and sharing experience with each other.

On 30 November 2023, the department of work with youth and organization of events and tutors organized a preventive event for students of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage on the theme “Strengthening the reproductive health of young people is an important factor in the development of society”.

At the event, Klara Jalilovna Usmanova, a doctor at the multidisciplinary Central Polyclinic in Samarkand, made a presentation on the topic “Health of the reproductive system” and “The place of medical culture in the family", and the chairperson of the Women’s Council of the university made a presentation on “The negative consequences of early marriage and marriage between relatives”. 

Reproductive health, which means control over when and under what conditions a woman becomes a mother, creation of optimal conditions for the health of both the mother herself and the future child, discussions with students on such topics were organized and necessary recommendations were received from specialists.

At the event, Nargiza Abduvahidova, head of the department of work with youth and organization of events, spoke about the family, its main task and marriage, answering the questions of students.

Every day, hundreds of thousands of people around the world are in need of donated blood. In particular, blood is considered an important tool in saving the lives of people with cancer, hematologic diseases, patients with severe bodily injuries as a result of an accident and those in need of complex surgeries.

Blood is such a non-alternative means that no medication can replace it, and it is impossible to produce blood in factories, the only way to obtain blood is from healthy people.

Taking into account the above-mentioned, on November 30 of this year, the department of youth work and tutors of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage organized an event to form a culture of charitable donation among the students of the university, to develop charitable donor participation with the involvement of the general public.

At the event, the head of Samarkand Regional Station of Blood Transfusion, Honorable Donor Jalilov Abdusalom told the students about the development of selfless donation and about the worthy, but at the same time responsible work of donors who save the lives of seriously ill patients and make an important contribution to their return to life. In other words, donation is a type of charity. Jalilov Abdusalom noted that blood and its components play an important role in high-tech operations.

Also within the framework of the event, an action of impartial donation was organized at university. University staff and students donated blood as self-help.
