Every day, hundreds of thousands of people around the world are in need of donated blood. In particular, blood is considered an important tool in saving the lives of people with cancer, hematologic diseases, patients with severe bodily injuries as a result of an accident and those in need of complex surgeries.

Blood is such a non-alternative means that no medication can replace it, and it is impossible to produce blood in factories, the only way to obtain blood is from healthy people.

Taking into account the above-mentioned, on November 30 of this year, the department of youth work and tutors of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage organized an event to form a culture of charitable donation among the students of the university, to develop charitable donor participation with the involvement of the general public.

At the event, the head of Samarkand Regional Station of Blood Transfusion, Honorable Donor Jalilov Abdusalom told the students about the development of selfless donation and about the worthy, but at the same time responsible work of donors who save the lives of seriously ill patients and make an important contribution to their return to life. In other words, donation is a type of charity. Jalilov Abdusalom noted that blood and its components play an important role in high-tech operations.

Also within the framework of the event, an action of impartial donation was organized at university. University staff and students donated blood as self-help.
