The meeting, held today on January 6, was chaired by N. Abduvohidova, Head of the Department for Working with Youth in Mahallas and Events at our University. The meeting was attended by vice-rectors, professors and teachers, heads of departments, and staff members of the university.

The extended meeting first addressed the issue of law violations among students and disciplinary matters at our university over the past year. On this matter, S. Murodov, advisor to the rector of our university, spoke and shared his views on crucial issues such as preventing offenses, promoting appropriate dress culture at the university, and protecting students from various religious movements in today's information age.

Additionally, at the meeting, the university's prevention inspector, Sh. Kurbanov, spoke about measures such as further improving discipline in the student dormitory and communicating with each student based on their behavior.

One of the main issues addressed at the first meeting of the Council on Spirituality and Enlightenment was the analysis of work in the university's education system. The extended meeting not only reviewed the work accomplished in the past year but also discussed the tasks that need to be implemented this year.

Views were expressed on important matters such as ensuring the implementation of measures to be defined in connection with the "Year of Environmental Protection and Green Economy" in 2025, identifying practical steps to enter the TOP 1000 in the QS Ranking, improving the qualifications of professors and teachers, increasing the potential of students who are candidates for prestigious scholarships, accelerating efforts to enhance scientific potential, monitoring the quality of lessons, and obtaining foreign language certificates for final-year students and their involvement in master's programs.

The meeting, which was held in the form of an open dialogue, provided necessary instructions and directives to those in charge, and answered questions from the professors and teachers.

JAPANESE LANGUAGE ONLINE OLYMPIAD HELD

To make the winter break more meaningful, our university’s students participated in an award-winning online Japanese language Olympiad, and the top Japanese language proficiency was determined, in compliance with the Republic of Uzbekistan’s Order of the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation dated December 6, 2024, No. 457. Google Forms was used for the online Olympiad. Each student completed a test with 25 questions during a 25-minute time limit at the Olympiad. The students listed below were deemed the winners based on their highest test scores:

1st place. Kadorkin Karim (3rd year, Hot-122 group student).

2nd place. Mamanova Dildora (2nd year, Tour-123 group student.

3rd place. Aslamova Dilshoda (1st-year, BM-124 group student).

These winning students will receive support from the University after the winter break.

During the winter break of the 2024-2025 academic year, an award-winning online Turkish speaking competition was held among the students of Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage to determine the best Turkish speaker. The competition was held online through the Zoom platform. In the competition, each student gave a 3-minute speech on a topic chosen by lottery. The members of the selection committee evaluated the speeches according to predetermined criteria (word use, grammar, pronunciation and timing). Based on the decision of the selection committee, the following students with the highest scores were declared winners:

1st place. Sabina Ashrafova (4th year, Mantour-121 group student).

2nd place. Shahriddin Mamirov (3rd year, MS-122 group student).

3rd place. Husanova Khadichabonu (3rd year, Hotel-122 group student).

These winning students will receive  support from the University after the winter break.

ANNOUNCEMENT

On January 4, 2025, at 10:30 AM, the defense of the dissertation by Otabek Mardonovich Ruzibayev, a doctoral candidate of Samarkand State University named after Sharof Rashidov, will take place at the UNWTO thematic office. The dissertation, titled "Improving the Economic Mechanism for the Development of Gastronomic Tourism in Regions," is written in the specialty 08.00.17 – "Tourism and Hotel Management" for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics. The defense will be held at the Scientific Council (DSc.33/01.02.2022.I.145.01) under the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.
