ANNOUNCEMENT

The administration of the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage is organizing a special training course to enhance the potential of the university’s professors and researchers and to elevate scientific research activities to a new level.
This program offers an opportunity to acquire essential knowledge and skills required for conducting doctoral research and writing dissertations.

During the program, researchers will gain expertise in:

  • Identifying and selecting the appropriate dissertation topic.
  • Structuring and writing a well-organized and effective dissertation.
  • Collecting, organizing, and managing data and statistics.
  • Analyzing research data and creating comprehensive models.
  • Developing innovative approaches to solving academic challenges.

The seminar will be conducted by Associate Professor Aziz Zikriyoyev from the Department of Global Economy at Tashkent State University of Economics.

In order to get acquainted with the living conditions of female students, on January 15, 2025 in cooperation with the chairman of the Women's Council of the International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage “Silk Road” M.Abbasova, psychologist D.Turdieva, inspector Sh.Kurbanov and tutor of the 1st year M. Tilavov a regular visit to the places of residence of female students was organized.

At present, due to the outbreak of various infectious diseases among the population, preventive work was carried out with female students living in rented apartments. Mokhichehra Gaybulayeva, a first year student, lives in a rented apartment at the address: Orzu Mahmudov Street, 55A, apartment 26, Samarkand city. The living conditions of our students, compliance of the apartments with fire and other safety requirements were fully studied. During the conversation the students paid attention to national values, customs and subtle aspects of oriental upbringing of future keepers of home.

Indeed, our values are especially important in that they are aimed at increasing the spirituality of our female students. It is specified that each female student should always remember that she is the face of the university, keep the rented apartments clean, observe moral character, sufficient explanations are given on the issues of primary fire and other technical safety.

Let’s keep life in balance!

On January 15 this year, Dildora Turdieva, a psychologist of the International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage “Silk Road”, held a motivational training for first-year students of the group TTE-124, studying in the direction of “Theory of Translation”.

The event utilized a method that helps to start the wheel of life balance and identified the areas in which students are currently weak. This unique technique makes it possible to analyze oneself in a short period of time and discover in the process the right direction of available strengths and capabilities. In addition, practicing preventing emotional tension encouraged students to think positively and helped them to get rid of negative emotions.

Second-year students of the "Guiding and Translation Activities" program at the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage have launched the "Monumentales" project. The goal of the project is to introduce historical sites that often remain overlooked by tourists and to establish a consistent flow of visitors to these locations. The first episode is dedicated to the "Museum of Local Lore"

Important tasks are being implemented in the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage to support women and carry out reforms. 

During the past academic year, female professors and students actively participated in a number of practical activities. In the 2023-2024 academic year, a total of 545 women studied in the bachelor's program, 106 in the master's program, 13 in the doctoral program, 19 independent researchers, and 11 foreign researchers. 

Among our female professors, 2 foreign and 6 local (1 Doctor of Sciences DSc, 7 PhD) professors with high academic potential are currently active. 

WOMEN'S SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITY AND STUDENT SUCCESS:

Currently, 25 theses have been successfully discussed in scientific seminars, 5 of which were written by women. In 2024, 2 women successfully passed scientific seminars. 

More than 300 talented female students have gathered in the "Qizlarjon" and "Lider girls" clubs, organized under the Women's Council. 

In the 2023-2024 academic year, 4 female students participated in the Republican stage of the Zulfiya State Prize: 

- In the field of science – Sabina Mustafakulova 

- In the public sphere – Fotima Baxromkulova and Zuxro Baxromkulova 

- In the field of literature – Shokhnigorbegim Juraeva. 

Recipients of the prestigious national scholarships: 

- 4th-year student Z. Baxromkulova received the Islam Karimov State Scholarship for the 2024-2025 academic year. 

- 4th-year student S. Mustafakulova received the Navoi State Scholarship for the 2024-2025 academic year. 

- Sabina Mustafakulova became the winner of the “Most Knowledgeable Student in Their Field” nomination at the "Most Active Student of the Year-2024" competition. 

INTERNATIONAL GRANT RECIPIENTS:

4 female students successfully obtained international grants. In addition, 7 female students participated in international programs abroad. 

SUPPORT FOR WOMEN IN NEED: 

The university continues to develop support for women through the Women's Advisory Council. Students in need, such as orphans, those with disabilities, or those from troubled families, receive special attention and support from the Women's Council and the student union. 

In 2025, the Women's Department at the university will further improve the system for protecting women's and children's rights, freedoms, and legal interests. 

AWARENESS CAMPAIGNS ORGANIZED:

In 2024, 6 promotional events were organized on gender equality, and around 200 students participated in 10 events focusing on ending violence and pressure against women. The topics of reproductive health, early marriages, and the negative consequences of marriages between close relatives were covered. 

FUTURE TASKS:

This year, the university's Women's Council has outlined important tasks to increase women's social activity, strengthen cooperation with government and civil society organizations, and support the employment and welfare of female students. 

GENDER EQUALITY AT THE UNIVERSITY:

To ensure gender equality, the university has developed a plan to train “reserve staff” among female professors. Seven women hold leadership positions:

- I.M. Kadirova – Department Head 

- N.Sh. Mansurova – Department Head 

- U.Q. Burkhanova – Department Head

WOMEN SCIENTISTS AT THE UNIVERSITY:

Throughout the academic year, women scientists have organized several scientific and practical conferences with partner organizations and foreign experts. 

Nargiza Shamsidinovna Mansurova has been the Head of the Department of Scientific Research since 2021. She is also an associate professor at the "Tourism" department. In addition to her academic duties, she has successfully performed numerous public roles. Since 2021, she has served as the Secretary of the Scientific Seminar on "Tourism and Hospitality" under the DSc.33/01.02.2022.1.145.01 Scientific Council.
