CNKI Reveals Highly Cited Scholars 2024 List, Professor Tongqian Zou, Vice Rector of our university is among the Top 1% "2024 CNKI Highly Cited Scholars". CNKI(China National Knowledge Infrastructure)is the largest journal paper database in China. CNKI launched the "CNKI Highly Cited Scholars" selection activity in 2024, aiming to objectively and scientifically measure and commend the Chinese scholars with rich scientific research achievements and outstanding academic influence in the past ten years (2014-2023). About 3.35 million scholars China nationwide entered the preliminary selection. The evaluation indicator used for "2024 CNKI Highly Cited Scholars" is the weighted total PCSI (Paper Citation Standardized Index) of the papers published by the authors. Professor Zou is recognized as one of the top 1% scholars in the field of Business Management. Since 2019, almost all the papers published by Professor Tongqian Zou are in both the names of Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and Beijing International Tourism Studies University.
We ask students whose name are given in the list and who are re-taking their failed courses in accordance with the internal order of the university No. 231 dated November 1, 2024, to complete all tasks in the specified subjects by January 25, 2025, take final exams on a schedule basis, and also pay for course credits by January 25, 2025.

Today, on January 8, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Polytechnic University of Turin in Tashkent and the International Research Institute "Silk Road" at the "Silk Road" International Research Institute. During the seminar in 07 January of 2025 the acting professor of department Khidirov M.M. delivered lecture “Adopting Historic Urban landscape approach in regeneration of Central Asian cities”. The lecture was illustrated by slideshow of main concepts of adopting Historic Urban Landscape approach to the city of Turkestan in Kazakhstan and the city of Shahrisabz in Uzbekistan.
To make the winter break more meaningful, our university’s students participated in an award-winning online Cultural Heritage in tourism Olympiad, and the top Cultural Heritage proficiency was determined, in compliance with the Republic of Uzbekistan’s Order of the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation dated December 6, 2024, No. 457. Google Forms was used for the online Olympiad. Each student completed a task with 50 questions during a 60-minutes time limit at the Olympiad. The students listed below were deemed the winners based on their highest test scores:

The meeting, held today on January 6, was chaired by N. Abduvohidova, Head of the Department for Working with Youth in Mahallas and Events at our University. The meeting was attended by vice-rectors, professors and teachers, heads of departments, and staff members of the university.
The extended meeting first addressed the issue of law violations among students and disciplinary matters at our university over the past year. On this matter, S. Murodov, advisor to the rector of our university, spoke and shared his views on crucial issues such as preventing offenses, promoting appropriate dress culture at the university, and protecting students from various religious movements in today's information age.
Additionally, at the meeting, the university's prevention inspector, Sh. Kurbanov, spoke about measures such as further improving discipline in the student dormitory and communicating with each student based on their behavior.
One of the main issues addressed at the first meeting of the Council on Spirituality and Enlightenment was the analysis of work in the university's education system. The extended meeting not only reviewed the work accomplished in the past year but also discussed the tasks that need to be implemented this year.
Views were expressed on important matters such as ensuring the implementation of measures to be defined in connection with the "Year of Environmental Protection and Green Economy" in 2025, identifying practical steps to enter the TOP 1000 in the QS Ranking, improving the qualifications of professors and teachers, increasing the potential of students who are candidates for prestigious scholarships, accelerating efforts to enhance scientific potential, monitoring the quality of lessons, and obtaining foreign language certificates for final-year students and their involvement in master's programs.
The meeting, which was held in the form of an open dialogue, provided necessary instructions and directives to those in charge, and answered questions from the professors and teachers.
