We are all responsible for the female students not only to become professionals, but also to be housewives of noble families.

On December 12 of this year, the chairman of the women’s council of the international university of tourism and cultural heritage “Silk Road” M.Abbasova, as well as members of the club “Kizlarjon”, formed under the council, organized master classes on cooking national dishes for first-year students within the framework of five important initiatives and the circle “Culinary Secrets”.

At the event, the dean of the Faculty of Tourism Management R.Toshniyozova told the students in detail about the peculiarities of their cooking and the order of serving them to the table, at the same time telling about how Uzbek national cuisine differs from the world cuisine in its originality and variety.

The opinions of the girl leaders about the history of national cuisine and vegetable salads and fruit carvings prepared by them were highly appreciated by the experts.

On December 7 of this year, the International Association of Tourism Cooperation of the Russian Federation “World without Borders”, the Association of Chinese Tourism Services of the PRC and “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage held a conference in the form of a hybrid on the theme “Opportunities for expanding the geography of cross-border tourism”. A number of teachers of our university took part in this conference. Sardorbek Samaridinov, Head of International Cooperation and Rating Department of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, delivered a report on “The role of education in the development of tourism potential of Uzbekistan” at the conference. In his speech, Sardorbek Samaridinov talked about the fact that today in Uzbekistan there are new aspects in the tourism sector, particularly in Samarkand.

In accordance with the order of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations of the Republic of Uzbekistan from December 4, 2023 № 516 “On the appointment of presidential and personal state scholarships of the Republic of Uzbekistan to undergraduate students of higher educational institutions of the republic for the academic year 2023-2024”, Mustafakulova Sabina, a 3rd year student of the educational direction “Tourism” of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, was awarded a state scholarship named after Islam Karimov.

In accordance with the order of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations of the Republic of Uzbekistan from December 4, 2023 № 516 “On the appointment of presidential and personal state scholarships of the Republic of Uzbekistan to undergraduate students of higher educational institutions of the republic for the academic year 2023-2024”, Oromjonova Shakhrizoda Oromjonovna, a 3rd year student of the educational direction “Tourism” of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, was awarded a state scholarship named after Navoi.

In order to promote healthy lifestyle among students and further development of mass sports on the day of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan were organized sports competitions “Rector’s Cup” under the slogan “My Constitution is 31 years old”.

The sports event under the slogan “My Constitution is 31 years old” was held from December 1 to 7 and included team competitions in chess, table tennis, swimming and soccer. Z. Kafiev, deputy chairman of the University Sports Club for the competitions, and others acted as judges. 

At the end of the competition the winners were awarded with diplomas and souvenirs.

On the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the National Guard Department organized competitions in horse riding, horse wrestling and archery in the Ogalik district of Samarkand region.
During the competition, qualified riders showed their professional training and high skill in practice. The organizers presented memorable souvenirs to the winners and prize-winners of the competitions.

On December 6 of this year, the festival “Crossroads of Cultures” under the slogan “My Constitution is 31 years old” dedicated to the Constitution Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan held at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

For three years in a row, university professors K.Mustaev and O.Boynazarov have been organizing the festival “Crossroads of Cultures”. This year the festival was held under the slogan “My Constitution is 31 years old”, dedicated to the day of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan. As part of the festival, students performed plays demonstrating the customs, cuisine and history of different nations. 

 In turn, the festival serves the study and preservation of universal values, culture, history of national rites, strengthening of sincere friendship between peoples, further improvement of humanism in our country and expansion of cultural and spiritual ties at the international level.

Uzbekistan is a country in which tolerance, respect, dialogue and interaction between different cultures, civilizations and peoples have been developed.

According to paragraph 31 of the programme for the preparation and holding of celebratory events dedicated to Constitution Day, approved by Presidential Decree No. F-72 of 16 November 2023, the task of holding constitutional lessons in general secondary, specialized secondary, vocational and higher educational organizations, covering all pupils and students, has been defined.

On 4 December of the current year, the teacher of “Languages” department T.Abdulloyev on the basis of the program of special course “Study of the content and essence of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan” organized a lesson of the Constitution at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

During the lesson, the students were explained how significant the amendments to the new Constitution were, while at the same time clearly reflecting the interests of the people.

On December 5 of this year, before the celebration of the Constitution Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan, various seedlings of decorative trees were planted around the Academy of Tourism. Employees of our university took an active part in the event organized within the framework of the nationwide project “Green Space” and planted ten types of decorative trees.

On December 2-3 of this year, on the initiative of the department of student practices of our university, practical classes were organized for students at the UNWTO International Tourism Academy, which was established at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

In this academy, among several directions, bakery for preparation of confectionery products, equipped with modern technologies, was also handed over.

Dildora Jurakulova, a specialist with 15 years of experience in the field of confectionery preparation, held a master class for 16 undergraduate and graduate students and taught the secrets of cooking eight different types of sweets. This process was especially interesting for our students who came from abroad.

Similar practical classes are planned to be held in large numbers in the future.
