On December 16-20 of this year Bekzod Oblokulov, a lecturer of the Department of Tourism of our university, takes part in the international seminar on “Realization of credit and marketing projects for related industries”, which is held in India. It is important that Bekzod Oblokulov actively participates in this seminar with his lecture.

On the outcoming of the New Year, various educational and recreational events are held at our university. Today, December 19, was presented a concert program dedicated to the New Year holiday of the group “Estrada” under the direction of our university professor, the talented Kamal Mustaev. The program included popular songs of foreign and domestic performers. Especially remembered compositions of jazz orientation, which refreshed the program and caused great applause of the audience.
Melodies of Professor Kamol Mustaev, performed on saxophone with great skill, gave the songs even more soulfulness. The concert program made a great impression on all participants. At the end of the event all the artists and active students were awarded with certificates by the department of work with youth of our university.

On December 18, 2024 the chairman of the women's council A.Abbasova of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage under the slogan “We are responsible for female students living in the student dormitory”, the university inspector Sh.Kurbanov, psychologist D.Turdieva, as well as tutor G.Khusainova fully familiarized with the living conditions of our students, their compliance with the rules of fire and other technical safety. All students before leaving for winter vacations received necessary notions about hygienic condition of the rooms. This was coordinated with the tutors as well as with the respective responsible persons.

The safe access of female students, students from the regions, including those with social protection and disabilities, pregnant students to their permanent place of residence during the winter vacation is controlled and monitored daily in our university dormitory.

During these days, meticulous care is taken to ensure that our students are able to reach their place of residence by fast moving trains, planes, buses and cars.

A training seminar on the topic “Consumer law and financial literacy” was organized jointly with the Samarkand provincial office of the Committee for the Development of Competition and Consumer Protection of the Republic of Uzbekistan and “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. The seminar provided young students with explanations and recommendations on the protection of consumer rights in a modern market economy. In the form of open dialog and question-and-answer sessions, the event served as an important factor in improving the legal literacy of young students.

With the purpose of quality organization of students' free time in the dormitory of our university various enlightening and educational events are held. On the night of December 15, with the participation of a group of female students living in the student dormitory, a reading event was organized, where books from Uzbek and world literature were read. Such events help to further strengthen our student youth's love for books.

On December 10 of this year, the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change organized a training seminar on the development of tourism in harmony with nature at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In this educational seminar, the vice-rector of our university, T. Zou, gave a speech on the topic "Comparative research on the development model of tourism villages of China and Uzbekistan." Summarizing the general rules of development of tourism villages in the world, Professor T. Zou compared the development models of tourism villages between China and Uzbekistan. The speaker shared the best experiences of the UN in the field of tourism on the example of the world's best tourist villages and touched on the tourist potential of villages like Sentob and Nanay in our country. On the example of Konigil in Samarkand, he put forward many measures and proposals for the establishment of tourist villages in Uzbekistan.

For foreign students studying Uzbek language and literature at the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage a "Literary Evening" and "Poetry Recital" event will be organized on December 19, 2024, with the participation of renowned Uzbek poets Khosiyatbonu Murodova and Toshpulat Tugalov. This event is based on Appendix 2, paragraph 12 of Resolution No. PD-19 "On additional measures to increase the flow of tourists and further enhance the prestige of our country by widely promoting the study of Uzbekistan's history and culture, Uzbek language and literature in foreign countries," adopted by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on January 12, 2024.

An intensive language training course for the students of Tashkent Technicum of Tourism and Hotel Management was organized in collaboration with the German Goethe Institute in Tashkent by Bektemirov Zohid Nodirovich, a teacher in the Department of "Languages and Global Studies" at "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

This event took place at Tashkent Technicum of Tourism and Hotel Management. During the course, a training-round table discussion was held for the students on topic "The untraditional ways of work comparing to today's traditional monotonous one and its effectiveness, and how to achieve fast and meaningful work on the text".

The training gave a positive impression on the students and was enriched with various questions, answers, and discussions. It was noted that the training, along with the round table discussion, methodological recommendations, and non-traditional activities, will further increase the interest of young language learners in the future. It was also suggested that the frequency of such joint seminars will be increased.

Poets together with the university administration and talented students organized an “autograph ceremony” in the university library. The poets signed autographs and then familiarized with the library's collection and activities. The poets presented books with samples of their creative work to the university library.

During the visit, the famous creators met with the First Vice Rector of our University for Administrative Affairs, Prof. D. Nasimov. During the meeting, the writers spoke with excitement about the conditions and opportunities created for students and youth at the university.
