Our university’s Languages Department lecturer Dilfuza Marupova has defended her dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) on the topic “Development of Literary Competencies of Future Teachers”.

The focus of D.Marupova’s dissertation research was on improving the effectiveness of developing literary competencies of future teachers based on the organizational-content interpretation of the aesthetic features of words and giving a sustainable priority to their analysis in Russian and English according to the existing scientific ideas about individual linguistic, literary and communication phenomena and processes.

Our university’s staff congratulates D.Marupova on her successful defense and wishes her success in her further scientific work.

The university carries out systematic work on the autumn-winter season, ensuring the stability of the heating system in student accommodation and academic buildings, and regular monitoring of students’ living conditions.

Tutor of the university Gavkhar Khusainova studied the lifestyle of first year students of group 123 Setora Toshboltaeva and Nilufar Najmiddinova.

Gavkhar Khusainova studied the living conditions of students in rented flats, having direct access to them.

In order to prevent various accidents, the students were provided and explained the compliance of their rented flats with fire and other technical safety requirements. In the flat where they live, the condition of the heating, the rooms set up for preparation for classes and compliance with technical safety rules were checked. It was agreed that the hosts and the university would be in constant co-operation.

On 6 October 2023 at 11:00 on the initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 229 room of our university will be held a round table jointly with the Association of Private Tourism Organisations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Samarkand region, delegation of the Polish Chamber of Tourism, as well as tour operators and travel agents working in this region.

We invite all university staff as well as students to this roundtable.

Today, the Department of “Tourism Management” of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage organized a lecture for students by invited hotel business expert Natalya Grineva. Natalya Grineva, general manager of the hotel “Movenpick Samarkand”, told students about the world of hospitality, the peculiarities of international hotel chains and the secrets of success in this area. This lecture caused a lively discussion among students, as it allowed them to deepen their knowledge in the field of hospitality and service, and apply practical knowledge to solve current problems.

On 4 October of this year, the visit of the Rector of Ataturk University of the Republic of Turkey, Professor Umar Cumakli, held. First Vice-Rector of our university, Professor J.Eltazarov met the delegation and familiarised in detail with the work carried out at the university to train qualified specialists in the field of tourism. Rector of Ataturk University, Professor Umar Cumakli also highly appreciated the wide range of works carried out at this university and exchanged views on further co-operation.

As you know, today our university co-operates with many prestigious universities in Turkey. A two-sided memorandum was signed between Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and Ataturk University in Turkey in order to strengthen ties after the dialogue.

The guests got acquainted with the work carried out at the university in the field of education, unique manuscripts and the gallery of national costumes of the Turkic world.

Intellectual games “Zakovat” are organized with the aim of consolidating the acquired knowledge of students and productively organizing their free time, at the same time to further strengthen their socio-political and legal knowledge and increase their intellectual potential.

On September 30 of this year, a festive event dedicated to “Teachers and Mentor Day” was held in the regional musical drama theater. At this event, active teachers and mentors who are actively engaged in the education of the young generation in the region were awarded with the honorary certificate of the regional administration. The presence of Sanjar Mardonov, a teacher of the department “Tourism Management” of our university, among them made the team of our university happy.    

On behalf of the team, the first vice-rector of our university, Prof. J.Eltazarov, warmly welcomed Sanjar Mardonov and wished him success in his pedagogical work.

On 3 October of this year, a group of more than 40 travellers, consisting of members of the Turkestan Society in Istanbul, visited “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. The first vice-rector of the university, Professor J.Eltazarov, welcomed them warmly and carefully acquainted them with the educational processes that students undergo today at the university, the library, rich in various literature, and the gallery of costumes about the Turkic world.

It is known that in the following years, co-operation between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Turkey has been developing at a high pace.

Today, Turkey is home to about one million descendants of Uzbeks who left for Anatolia with a zeal for modernity. These people have not forgotten their homeland, their ancient and beautiful culture of these lands, and their mother tongue.

On 29 September of this year, “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage widely celebrated the holiday of 1 October – “Teacher and Mentor Day”. At the event, a festive table was set up, to which professors and teachers of our university were invited, and a group of dedicated teachers were awarded certificates of honour by the administration.

  In September 2023, the university stage of the republican competition on the topic “Uzbek language - the translator of my heart” was held among foreign students studying at the university whose native language is not Uzbek in order to ensure the implementation of the Decree No. PF-6084 of October 20, 2020 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures to further develop the Uzbek language and improve the language policy in our country”, the statement No. 56 of the Cabinet of Ministers Board meeting of July 26, 2023 and  the Statement No. 160 of September 7 as well as to increase the interest of foreign students and young people  studying in our university to learn Uzbek.

At the higher education institution stage of the competition, the participants competed on the conditions of preparing a 3-5 minute introduction video about themselves and writing essays on topics related to the history, culture, values ​​and social life of the Uzbek people.

According to the final result of the examination,Farishta Kayumiy, a graduate student of the University’s Tourism (types of activity) master’s degree, was declared the absolute winner of the competition and received a ticket to the republic stage.
