According to the decree of the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovations, in celebration of 1 October Teacher and Mentor Day, a group of specialists who work selflessly in the field of secondary specialised and vocational education were awarded the badge “Excellent worker of secondary specialised and vocational education”, an example of which is effective work on quality training and professional employment of young people. Among them - Zakirova Dilnoza Sharifovna, a teacher of special subjects of Bukhara Technical College at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.
The staff of our university also sincerely congratulates Zakirova Dilnoza Sharifovna with this success and wishes her good luck in her future work.
On 28 September of this year, together with the Women’s Council of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and Department of History and Cultural Heritage, the festival “Khan Atlas” was held.
Since ancient times, satin, adras fabrics have been a mirror of our people’s culture, a sign of their nationality. And everyday clothes, which harmoniously combine modernity and nationalism, attract the attention of even foreigners. It has become a tradition for students and girls of our university to organise such festivals. After all, it is undeniable that knowledge of such products of our cultural heritage, their history and today, together with imprinting in the student youth feelings of humility, pride, sense of dignity, form in them a desire to preserve them, to continue the tradition.
On September 20, 2023 in Samarkand concert hall under the motto “For new Uzbekistan for new life” for teachers and students of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage together with the collective of musical circle under the direction of K.Mustaev and invited artists from Moscow was organised a jazz-blues jam-concert, where one of the outstanding musical compositions was performed.
On 26 September 2023, the football club of Samarkand region “Zakovat” started the games of the first league.
6 teams of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage took an active part in these games and were able to find correct answers to most of the questions.
We would like to remind that the winners of the first league will have the opportunity to participate in the professional league teams from the next season.

On 27 September, a solemn event dedicated to World Tourism Day was held at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. At the event, which was organised jointly with “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and the Tourism Department of Samarkand region, R.Kobilov, deputy governor of the region, made an introductory speech, in his speech he congratulated everyone on this day with all his heart.
As it is known, to date, as a result of the reforms carried out in the sphere of tourism a huge practical work has been achieved. The industry has experienced a real boom, and the level of service for foreign and local tourists has risen.
At the event, diplomas and gifts of honour were presented to a number of education, cultural heritage and media workers who have been active in the tourism sector during the year. After the main part of the event, Graduation Party 2023 held. In it, foreign graduates were awarded diplomas to the Master’s students of our university.
According to the recommendations given by the Committee on Defence and Security of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan on 25 September of this year at the university held a meeting with the participation of experts on the theme “Priority tasks for educating young people in a military-patriotic spirit and preventing attempts to radicalise them under the guise of religion” from 2023 May 25.
As is known, systematic meetings on this issue are being organised today, given that the formation of ideological immunity among young people to alien ideas is crucial.
Also, on the basis of the concept of military-patriotic education of the youth, approved by a decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, in order to improve the work in these directions, the work in the academic groups is brought to a completely new level.
During the meeting, additional information about the dress code and rules of behaviour established by the university's “Code of Etiquette” was also provided.
On September 27, on the occasion of World Tourism Day, the Women’s Council of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage organized “National Costume Day”.
From early morning all students and girls, teachers proudly visited the university in beautiful dressy dresses in modern style, made of our national cloths. The special festive mood, the combination of bright colors and national music gave everyone a special mood.
Even foreign guests were dressed in Uzbek national costumes as part of this wonderful event dedicated to the National Dress Day. Listening to the opinions of foreigners admiring our traditions will make you feel proud of your Uzbekistan. In a word, our national costumes did not leave foreigners indifferent.
Within the framework of this event aimed at glorifying national values, all faculty, staff and students of the university held “World Tourism Day” and “National Costume Day” events throughout the day in high spirits.
On 25 September, the Agency for Youth Affairs under the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sport of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed a memorandum of cooperation between Samarkand Region, the Department of Youth Affairs, “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and the Association of Volunteers of Uzbekistan.
The main purpose of signing the memorandum is to promote the development of civic initiatives aimed at the organisation of volunteer activities among students, to support humanism, tolerance and solidarity, and to protect the rights and interests of volunteers.
In order to further support volunteer activities in our country, the law “On Volunteer Activities” was adopted. According to it, through volunteering, assistance is provided to low-income, large families, homeless people, care for the sick, disabled and elderly, organisation of sports, cultural and other events, and charitable activities.
In accordance with the decree of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations dated 6 March 2023 № 44 in order to coordinate the work on scientific and methodological assistance to professional educational institutions, on 25 September of this year, the first vice-rector of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, Prof. J.Eltazarov and the head of the department of Tashkent City Territorial Department of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations T.Ruzikulov visited Tashkent Technical College of Tourism and Hotel Management.
During the visit, they were familiarised with the existing material and technical base of the educational institution, including educational practice, library and computer classes. During the visit, the works carried out on the basis of the set tasks were discussed, the tasks on updating of curricula in educational areas and creation of joint educational and scientific literature were defined.
The Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Public-Private Partnership” and the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated September 9, 2021 “Measures to increase the level of coverage of students with accommodation in the higher education institutions of the Republic” 563 of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage on the basis of the conditions of public-private partnership in the territory of the Samarkand Technical College of Tourism and Cultural Heritage located at 12 Turkistan Street, Samarkand city under the university the construction of a 400-bed student residence is planned.
On June 16, 2023, the agreement No. 37-2023 was signed between the private initiative family enterprise “Z-P-A” and the university on the construction, equipment, use, service and return of student accommodation. According to the expert opinion, the total cost of this project is 25,527,529,795 (twenty-five billion five hundred and twenty-seven million five hundred and twenty-nine thousand seven hundred and ninety-five) soums, of which 13,527,529,795 (thirteen billion five hundred twenty-seven million five hundred twenty-nine thousand seven hundred ninety-five) soums from the entrepreneur’s own funds, 12,000,000,000 (twelve billion) soums and part is carried out at the expense of subsidy funds allocated from the State budget.
According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 239 dated May 6, 2022 “On approval of the regulation on the procedure for allocating subsidies from the State budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the construction of student residences on the basis of public-private partnership” for the construction of student residences the university applied to the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation on July 6, 2023 with letter No. 810 regarding the allocation of state subsidy funds.
On July 26, 2023, part of the State subsidy in the amount of 4,000,000,000 (four billion) soums was financed by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation and transferred to a special account of the university.
According to paragraph 12 of the regulation approved by the said resolution, the amount of 3,829,129,469 (25,527,529,795 s.15%) was transferred to the special account of the private partner until July 28, 2023. Thereafter, in accordance with paragraph 2 of item 12 of the regulation approved by Cabinet Resolution No. 239 of May 6, 2022, as well as the act of completed works No. 1 of September 7, 2023, an additional amount of 4,170,870,531 was transferred to the special account of the private partner on September 29, 2023.
