 The Youth Union of  Uzbekistan "Silk Road" International University of  Tourism and Cultural Heritage Primary Organization Council’s Youth leader S. Haydarov, within the framework of the "Orientation days", gave information to all freshman students about student clubs and projects for students  in 7 directions that organized at the University on the base of  joint decision of Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation and the Central Council of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan declared on March 29, 2023 "On measures to improve the activities of primary organizations in higher education institutions of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan".

        It was explained that students can join various competitions and clubs organized by the youth council of the university along with studying at the university. The coordinators of each direction gave detailed information about  the directions.

As part of the events of the acquaintance week, the vice-chairman of the university sports club Z.Kafiev introduced the 1st year students to the conditions created in the swimming pool and gym of the university in order to form a healthy competitive environment among young people and increase their interest in mass sports. He invited students interested in sports and swimming to take part in the work of clubs organized at our university and answered the questions asked.

ANNOUNCEMENT

         Dear teachers and students of our university, we invite you to the concert program Jazz-Blues Jam, which will be held in the concert hall in Samarkand on September 20 of this year at 13:00, as well as a meeting with foreign artists.

In this concert program you will hear the most wonderful works performed by the musical group of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and guest musicians from Moscow.

A spiritual-educational event entitled “Meeting of three generations” and “For a new Uzbekistan, for a new life” was held at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

On September 19 of this year, labor veterans Nasiba Farmanova, Aidinoy Kobulova, Esanboy Normatov and young people took part in the event dedicated to thirty-two years of state independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan for students of the university and “Meeting of three generations” held under the title “For a new life for a new Uzbekistan”.

Speaking at the event, the guests spoke about the changes in the socio-political, spiritual and educational life of our homeland, about the thinking of our people, especially the youth, about the work being done on the way to becoming a new Uzbekistan, as well as about the heroes of our time who are selflessly working in these processes.

The importance of increasing the socio-political activity of the youth of our future, raising highly spiritual, educated young people, strengthening in their hearts feelings of love for the Motherland, respect for our national values, ideas of independence and loyalty was emphasized.

 

On September 10-14, Bishkek hosted the international forum “Creative and Scientific Intellectuals of CIS”. N.Abduvakhidova, head of the department on work with youth and mahallas, took part in the session of this international forum. At this forum N.Abduvakhidova made a report and presentation on the topic of awarding the city of Samarkand the status of “Cultural Capital of the Commonwealth”, and the city of Tashkent - the status of “Youth Capital of the Commonwealth” in 2024.

The forum provided detailed information on what is happening today in the cultural and educational sphere of Uzbekistan, what great attention is being paid to young people and what conditions are being created, what reforms are being undertaken to create opportunities.

On September 18 of this year, as part of “ORIENTATION DAYS” events held at our university, the chairperson of the university Women’s Council, M.Abbasova, not only spoke about the numerous benefits provided to women in our country today, but also gave lectures on such topics as “Legal guarantees of the rights of women and children” and “Prevention of violence and abuse against women”.

Also at the event, girls of the club “Girls Leaders”, organized under the Women’s Council of the university, who gave their suggestions and recommendations to the 1st year students, spoke. It is worth noting that girls make up the main part of the students admitted this academic year. It follows that a number of tasks are also assigned to the members of the Women’s Council of our university and the Girls Leaders Club organized under it.

On September 18 of this year, a collection of books consisting of 9 tomes of rare manuscript copies published by the Party Committee of Shandong Province of China to the Samarkand Regional Administration was handed over to the library of our university. These unique sources were handed over by Deputy Governor Rustam Kabilov on behalf of Erkinjan Turdimov, the regional governor. These books were received by the first vice-rector of our university, prof. J.Eltazarov, who noted that these valuable sources serve as a necessary source of knowledge for the teaching staff of our university and students, and expressed his gratitude to the regional governor.

On October 19, 2023, at 10:30, in the conference hall of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage within the meeting of Scientific Council DSc.33/01.02.2022.I.145.01 which grants scientific degrees in economic sciences, the defense of dissertation work on the topic “Increasing efficiency of using the economic potential in the sphere of tourism” of Kholbayev Shakhriyor Abdullaevich on specialty 08.00.17 “Tourism and hotel activity”, a doctorate student of Samarkand State University named after Sharaf Rashidov for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).

In the framework of “ORIENTATION DAYS” events held in our university on September 18 of this year, the head of the department of mahallas and youth work of the university N.Abduvahidova gave full information about “code of etiquette”, dress code and culture to the students of the 1st year. In addition, the responsible of the university told about its activity as an international university, that every student of this educational institution should honor national and universal values with their culture, and emphasized that our youth adhere to the principles of etiquette and actively participate in the educational process, having a dress code, appearance and good behavior in the university.

On September 12 of this year, Nigora Asadova, a master’s student and employee of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, took part in the forum on the development of human rights “China-Central Asia”-2023, which was held in the capital of China, Beijing. Leading experts and activists in the field of human rights and cooperation in Central Asia and China took part in this forum. It is important that the speech of Nigora Asadova, a master’s student of our university, on the development of human rights in our country and good relations between Uzbekistan and China attracted great interest among the forum participants and served as an exchange of views among the participants.

On September 7-11 in Chongqing, China, during this forum, Nigora Asadova got acquainted with many cultural and educational initiatives in this field, and was able to exchange experience with local experts and activists in the field of human rights.
