On August 18 of the current year in “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage held interviews for the recruitment of tutors for the new academic year in the university. The first vice-rector of the university, Professor J.Eltazarov, heads of departments, heads of departments interviewed fully in English. The selection of employees was conducted openly and transparently, the level of English language skills, pedagogical experience and initiative of candidates were checked, candidates with high knowledge and qualifications were selected.

On August 18 of the current year on the basis of the regulation “On the order of admission of graduates who have successfully graduated from technical colleges, on the basis of interview to the educational directions of bachelor’s degree of higher educational institutions”, approved by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan № 17 from January 11, 2022, were interviewed with graduates who have successfully graduated from technical colleges.

Headed by the first vice-rector of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, Professor J.Eltazarov, members of the commission interviewed applicants in the direction of “Tourism (by type of activity)”.

The interview was conducted in 4 directions, each of which was evaluated up to 25 points. The total maximum score is 100 points. The applicants who scored 67 points and above will continue their studies from the 2nd stage in their chosen fields of study.

18 августа текущего года в международном университете туризма и культурного наследия “Шелковый путь” состоялись собеседования по набору тьюторов на 2023-2024 учебный год в университет. Первый проректор университета, профессор Ж.Элтазаров, заведующие кафедрами, начальники отделов, проводили собеседования полностью на английском языке. Подбор сотрудников проводился открыто и прозрачно, проверялся уровень владения английским языком, педагогический опыт и инициативность кандидатов, отбирались кандидаты с высокими знаниями и квалификацией.

Преподаватель кафедры языков нашего университета Умида Абдувахабова защитила диссертацию на соискание ученой степени доктора философии (PhD) по теме “Прагматические средства изображения человеческих ценностей в оригиналах и переводах произведений Герберта Бейтса”. Диссертационное исследование У.Абдувахабовой было  направлено на изучение прагматических средств описания человеческих ценностей, изложенных в произведениях выдающегося английского литератора Герберта Бейтса, на основе стилистических и сравнительно-типологических исследований.

On August 19, 2023, at 12:00, in the large conference hall of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage within the meeting of Scientific Council numbered under DSc.33/01.02.2022.I.145.01 which grants scientific degrees in economic sciences, the defense of dissertation work on the topic “Ways to improve the organizational and economic mechanism of hotel business development (by the example of Samarkand region)” of Abdullaeva Zulfiya Izzatovna on specialty 08.00.17 “Tourism and hotel activity” ”, a doctorate student of  Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).

Uzbek-Turkish relations have been strengthening in recent years. A bright example of this is the visit of young people of Hatay region of Turkey to Samarkand on 11 August of this year. First, the guests took part in a roundtable discussion on “Solidarity between the youth of Uzbekistan and Turkey” at the Samarkand Youth Center. It is important that the First Vice-Rector of our university J.Eltazarov was present at this event, as well as the youth leader of the university and a team of volunteers consisting of a group of talented youth students of the university. At the roundtable, the young people exchanged views on politics, culture, volunteering, and climate change. After that, the Turkish youth also visited our university and familiarized with the conditions and opportunities created for students at this university.
