Before the start of the new academic year, all faculties, dean and department heads in our university made the preparations necessary for the new academic year.  We organized an orientation week with many scientific, social and spiritual-educational activities.

At the opening ceremony of the new academic year, the First Vice-Rector of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, Prof. J.Eltazarov, speaking, warmly congratulated all young people on becoming students and officially declared the academic year open.

Also at the event, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the university Prof. J.Hoffman, from foreign teachers R.Darius, Nargiz Nurulla and others also spoke about the educational processes carried out in the new academic year.

On August 31, 2023, the Youth Development Forum CICA-2023 was held in the capital of the People's Republic of China, Beijing, with the active support of the Secretariat of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA).

Lecturer of the Department of Tourism Management, Sanjar Mardonov attended the forum at the invitation of the “President of CICG Center for Europe and Asia” and delivered a remarkable speech, providing help and support in promoting CICA youth development. On behalf of the Center for Europe and Asia of China International Communications Group (CICG), a letter of gratitude was sent to S.Mardonov, which expressed a desire for closer communication and cooperation with the university in various forms and sectors.

Student youth enjoy the artwork of Ella Mayar

These days, the gallery under “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage in Samarkand is hosting an art station exhibition entitled “Inner Horizon: Uzbekistan in the paintings of Ella Mayar in the 1930s”.

On the initiative of Aziz Abdukhakimov, rector of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, a practical excursion to this art gallery was organized on 14 September for students of general education schools under the Department of Public Education and Preschool Education of Samarkand region. The excursion started on September 8 and will last till October 8. During the event, the goal was set for students from all educational institutions located in Samarkand city to visit the gallery.

BGI is headquartered in Shenzhen, China, with branches and medical laboratories located in major cities in the country, such as Beijing, Tianjin, Wuhan, Shanghai and Guangzhou. On September 11 of this year, the Women's Council of "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage together with scientists, enlightened women, members of the "Smart Women" movement, students of Samarkand Technical University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage -daughters held a roundtable discussion under the slogan "Woman of the 21st Century" on the topic "The Formula of a Happy Family". Systematic organization of spiritual and educational work among women in our country, especially the intellectual potential, self-thinking and worldview of students, strengthening their ideological immunity, well-rounded people who live with a sense of patriotism, love and loyalty to the people. attention was paid to such important issues as raising the next generation.

At the event, M. Abbasova, the chairwoman of the Women's Council of the International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage "Silk Road" gave lectures on the topics of "Legal guarantees of women's and children's rights" and "Prevention of harassment and violence against women". - in connection with the further improvement of the system of reliable protection of the rights, freedoms and legal interests of girls and children, opinions were heard regarding the amendments and additions to some legal documents of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Sidikova "The importance of activities of circles related to the direction of cultural heritage", the leading specialist of the University Information Resource Center A. .Izbasarova actively participated with lectures on topics such as "Electronic databases of educational and fiction literature". On September 8 of this year, an exhibition called “Life consists of moments” of artist Vasiliy Zakharsky was held at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. This exhibition was organized by the Museum of Modern Art of Uzbekistan in Urganch in cooperation with “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

It should be noted that the creative works of this author were donated to our university and to the Museum of Modern Art of Uzbekistan in Urganch in order to popularize fine art and increase the interest of young students in art. At the event, the artist's life and work were touched upon, and interesting opinions were expressed about the essence of the works. At the end of the exhibition, the participants watched the works of the artist.

On September 8 of this year, according to the plan, the officials of our university visited a number of residential houses in order to get acquainted with the living conditions of female students and the level of the internal environment in families, and to help the landlords in concluding a lease agreement for this academic year.
