October 29, 2023 marks the 100th anniversary of the Turkish Republic. In connection with this significant date, on October 26, an event dedicated to the centennial anniversary of the Turkish Republic was held at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. The Consul General of Turkey in Samarkand Salih Janer, the rector of the Samarkand State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Professor Chidem Janbay Turkyilmaz, as well as professors and teachers of the Samarkand State University were invited to the event. During the event, the first vice-rector of the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage J.D.Eltazarov made a speech congratulating the Turkish people on this historical event. University students also performed at the event, reading poems about the centenary of the Turkish Republic.
