The best students of the tourism sector met in Ancient Bukhara

On December 10-11 this year, the city of Bukhara hosted the "First International Youth Tourism Forum".

The fact that the tourism industry is the most dynamically developing and promising sector of our country's economy is reflected in our society. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev intends to raise youth policy to the level of national importance and make it more widely used in all spheres. Training of young highly qualified specialists for the tourism industry is an urgent problem. If we take into account the proportion of young people involved in tourism, it is important to create opportunities and conditions for them.

The prestigious event held in ancient Bukhara was a prelude to these good deeds. The forum was organized on the initiative Of the Department for tourism development of the Bukhara region and in cooperation with the State Committee for tourism development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Khokimiyat of the Bukhara region, embassies of Uzbekistan abroad and a number of organizations.

The forum was attended by more than twenty foreign delegates in an online format. The event was broadcast live in these countries. Presentations were made by ten international experts in the field of tourism. In particular, effective and constructive presentations were made by representatives of France, Singapore, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Malaysia and Israel.

Students of the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism also took part in the Forum and stood out among other participants for their activity, initiative and unique creative approach. Our students, who defended the honor of our University, were divided into groups of five people and made presentations on five areas of the forum program. Some of the working groups' presentations sparked heated discussions.

The second day of the forum was dedicated to the award ceremony for the best presentations. It is gratifying that students of the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism took first place in four of the five areas presented ("Individual tourism areas", "Tourism and media", "Tourism and start-up projects", "Education and tourism", "tourism Development in the post-pandemic period"), which provided them with an absolute victory. A huge event was the fact that Saidov Abdullo, a 3rd-year student of the faculty of tourism Management (in areas of activity), was elected the tourism Ambassador of the Bukhara region. At the end of the forum, all participants were awarded certificates.

The forum was rich in new creative ideas, projects and outlined long-term plans in the field of tourism, proving that tourism and youth are a single concept.
