From April 5 to 9, 2021, representatives of the Turkish Agency for International Cooperation and Coordination (TIKA) will conduct a series of training seminars for the university's teaching staff on the topic of modern approaches in tourism education at the Silk Road International University of Tourism.
The seminar was opened with a solemn speech by the first vice-rector of the University prof. J.D.Eltazarov. He presented following invited specialists:
– Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Samarkand – Salih Yaner;
– Head of the TIKA Representative Office in Uzbekistan – Jemalettin Tuney;
– Head of the Department of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development – Shukhrat Isakulov;
– Head of the group of teachers from the Republic of Turkey – Ersumer Eren.
Seminars are aimed at analyzing the Uzbek higher and secondary special education of professional training of specialists of the tourist industry and a hotel business, which is currently increasingly affected by the processes of the surrounding world, including the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tourism education in our country is a fairly new direction in the system of personnel training in secondary and higher educational institutions. The seminars, conducted by the Turkish Agency for International Cooperation and Coordination (TIKA), are aimed at introducing the new needs of the tourism business to university graduates. Therefore, the training of personnel for the tourism industry and the hotel business cannot but be innovative. At the introductory seminar were highlighted the problems of innovative and popular methods in training personnel for the tourism industry.
