In order to ensure the implementation of the letter of the Deputy Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan Yu. Absoatov No. 87-06-270 of February 25, 2021 “On holding the University Stage of the Republican Student Festival under the motto “The free, young generation – the great wing for you!” within the framework of the “Literary Week” dedicated to five important initiatives, as well as to the implementation of the 4th paragraph of the approved Action Plan in Annex No. 1 of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 502 of August 24, 2020 “On measures to popularize the creative heritage of famous writers and thinkers among young people and the effective use of the Alley of Writers”, it was decided to hold the University Stage of this festival.

Dear students!

We invite you to take part in the various competitions within the framework of the festival among students of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism, which will be held on March 18, 2021 at 10.00 in the lecture hall No. 230 in the following directions:

1. “The best photos” exhibition, dedicated to the history of poets, writers and creative personalities on the Alley of Writers;
2. “The best inventor” contest;
3. Chess competitions.

The winners of all the above directions will be rewarded with a one-time monetary fee:

1st place – cash fee in the amount of 2 minimum wage;
2nd place – cash fee in the amount of 1.5 minimum wage;
3rd place – cash fee in the amount of 1 minimum wage.

The participants who took the first places will take part on the Republican stage of the festival, which will be held in May 2021 in Tashkent.

On March 5 in the conference hall of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism there was a festive concert organized by the joint efforts of the advisors and the Students parliament in honor of the upcoming holiday.

The concert began with sincere congratulations from the Rector of the University – A.Abdukhakimov:

“We sincerely congratulate you on the upcoming International Women’s Day. We wish you long life, good health, happiness, and good luck. We wish your families peace and tranquility, and success in your career!”.

The program of the event was full of various performances of both students and the male half of the staff. Students of the University showed their best performances dedicated to women, girls, and, of course, mothers. Songs and dances warmed the audience with colorful performances, gave an amazing atmosphere and created the mood of a real holiday, because with each performance became more colorful and exciting.

Words of gratitude, congratulations and wishes addressed to those who fill our lives with their warmth, beauty and care were repeatedly heard from the stage. Everyone who was lucky enough to attend the festive concert today received a charge of joy, love and spring mood.

The concert was light and relaxed. All the wishes were so sincere that they made the women smile. This is the most important thing.

On March 4 of this year, the delegation of the French Embassy in Uzbekistan, headed by the Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy, Brice Roquefeuil, paid a working visit to the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the cooperation of the “Silk Road” University with French universities and the development of French-Uzbek relations in the field of tourism and education. The topic of continuing cooperation with the Paris Academy was also touched upon. Earlier, on July 16, 2019, the “Silk Road” University and the Paris Academy signed a Convention aimed at improving the educational process, ensuring the mobility of the university’s teaching and student staff, improving the skills of teachers, providing the book fund with modern teaching aids and electronic books of the Information and Resource Center of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism.

The First vice-rector, J.D.Eltazarov shared information about the organization of education at the University during the pandemic. The coronavirus pandemic has made adjustments to many plans and projects related to international cooperation in all countries, and has also affected academic mobility.

In turn, Mr. Brice Roquefeuil expressed confidence that after the end of the pandemic, all projects will be fully restored and will reach a new stage of development. He also stressed that the “Silk Road” University is a significant part of the educational, scientific and cultural space in the tourism sector not only in Uzbekistan, but also in Europe, and expressed readiness to contribute to the expansion of the system of cooperation with French universities, in particular, with the Paris Academy.

On March 3, 2021, in the lecture hall of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism, a seminar was held on the topic “Preventing young people from being carried away by fanatical ideas”. The event was organized by the joint efforts of the Department of Youth Policy of the University, advisors and the Department of Muslims of Uzbekistan, represented by the chief specialist – Tursunov Abdulatif.

At the event, students were explained the historical unity of national and religious values, their harmony with universal values, the formation of a culture of religious tolerance, the correct attitude to religion and the education of highly spiritual individuals for society. The invited specialist gave detailed answers to the questions of the university staff and students.

On the 2^nd of March this year, at the initiative of the Department for Tourism Development of the Samarkand region, with the support of the State Committee for Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Khokimiyat of the region, were held cultural and entertainment events aimed at the development of domestic tourism in our country.

Within the framework of the event, theatrical performances and concert programs were organized on the square in front of the Samarkand Regional Music and Drama Theater named after H.Alimjan. It is worth noting that the students of the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism also took an active part in the entertainment programs.

On this day, the entrance to all cultural heritage sites and museums of the region was absolutely free for the citizens and guests of Samarkand. The organizers, in cooperation with the tourism organizations of the region, held various quizzes and competitions among visitors, the winners of which were awarded with memorable gifts and tour packages for 2 people for traveling around Uzbekistan.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the Republic of Uzbekistan Mr. Md Jahangir Alam visited the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism.

The meeting began with a presentation of the university, during which the First vice-rector of the University Juliboy Danabaevich focused on the large-scale scientific and educational structure, practical work and international partnership of the University.

During the talks, the sides exchanged views on the high demand for specialists in the field of tourism not only in Uzbekistan, but also around the World. In particular, the parties discussed action plans for the introduction of innovative technologies at the University, specializing in improving the education system in the tourism sector and the study of foreign languages.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the Republic of Uzbekistan expressed gratitude for the hospitality.

“I am very proud to be here in Samarkand, at your university, – Mr. Md Jahangir Alam shared his impressions. – Not only student mobility is important for us, but also the support of young scientists of the university. It is important that the outcome of our meeting is not words, but deeds”.

He assured that contacts will be established with a number of leading higher educational institutions of the Republic of Bangladesh and all conditions for further cooperation will be created.
