In accordance with the order of the Deputy Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education U. Begimkulov No. 87-03-188-XFU dated April 9, 2021 and the order of the Secretary of the Security Council under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 11-PA 2/1-693 dated March 25, 2021, in order to organize creative meetings with the participation of outstanding writers in the educational institution and to cover these events through special reports, on April 29, 2021, the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism hosted an exclusive meeting of students with writers of the Samarkand regional branch of the Union of Writers.

Honored Worker of Culture of Uzbekistan, poetess Khosiyat Bobomurodova, member of the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan, poetess Kubarro Bakhromova and chief specialist of the Samarkand regional branch of the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan, member of the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan, poetess Zuhra Begim Eshonkulova were invited to this creative meeting, organized on the initiative of the Department of “Uzbek Language and Literature and Social Sciences”. They talked about the new literature that is being prepared for publication, about poetry collections that are planned to be published in the future, about the modern art of book reading. The poetesses answered all the students’ questions in detail, and also told them about their work.

Representatives of poetry shared with young people about the special difficulties of the creative world and their life experiences. Young writers listened with great interest to the recommendations given to them by outstanding poetesses.
At the meeting, the students received answers to their questions. The creative meeting made a good impression on all the students.

Pursuant to the order of the Minister of Higher and Secondary special education of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 15, 2021 No. 79 “On the execution of the Protocol No. 1 of the meeting of the Republican Commission for the preparation and holding of the celebration of the thirtieth Anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, at the initiative of the Department of Uzbek Language and Literature and Social Sciences of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism, on May 18, 2021, it is planned to hold an essay contest dedicated to the 80th anniversaries of the Hero of Uzbekistan – A. Oripov and the National writer of Uzbekistan – U. Khashimov.

All students of the university are invited to participate in the essay contest. Students who wish to participate in the competition, after registration, must come to the auditorium No. 313 on May 18, 2021, no later than 10:00 a.m. The essay will take 2 hours to write. The winners of the competition will be awarded on May 20, 2021 at the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism.

Essay evaluation criteria:
- Writing an essay in the Uzbek language based on the works of A. Oripov or U.Khashimov;
- Strict compliance with the rules of the Uzbek language;
- Writing an essay in a beautiful handwriting on Latin graphics;
- Stick to a clear sense when writing an essay.

In order to better represent national values and increase the prestige and status of the historical heritage of Uzbekistan, as well as to ensure the implementation of the tasks set out in the Message of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.Mirziyoyev to the Oliy Majlis dated December 29, 2020, a competition “Honoring National Values” was held among students of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism.

On April 27 of this year, the award ceremony for the winners of the competition was held in University’s galleries zone today’s afternoon.

According to the decision of the jury, the winners were the following students:
1st place – Rozikov Amirjon, author of the video “Amir Temur and his historical heritage!”;
2nd place – Abdualimov Masud, author of the video on the topic “National game chillak”;
3rd place – Djuraev Diyorbek, the author of the video on the topic “Forgotten national values”.

The prize-winning participants were awarded special diplomas and one-time monetary rewards in the amount of 2 minimum wage (for 1st place); 1.5 m.w. (2nd place); 1 m.w. (3rd place).
Other students of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism, who took an active part in the competition, were awarded certificates and memorable gifts.

Today, on April 23, the “World Book and Copyright Day” is celebrated all over the world. In this regard, the staff of the library of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism announces a series of spiritual, educational and cultural events from April 26 to 30, 2021.

These days, students can expect various events such as:
- presentation of the library’s features;
- seminars from specialists;
- brainstorming-discussions of various literature, with the direct participation of students;
- various competitions.

Despite the fact that this is the age of innovative technologies, nothing can ever replace the importance and necessity of books. Books bring up high spiritual and moral qualities in a person, and they also remain a constant source of answers to all kinds of questions at all times.

On April 21 of this year, the President of the Association for the Support of Small and Medium-sized Businesses of Bulgaria, a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Small and Medium-sized Businesses of the European Union, Khalachev Veselin Savov, as well as the Chairman of the “Bulgaria-Uzbekistan” Friendship Society, a representative of the University of Tourism and Management in Skopje (Republic of North Macedonia), PhD of Sociology, anthropology and cultural sciences Krastev Toshko Angelov, paid a working visit to the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism.

One of the main goals of the visit was the signing a bilateral memoranda.

During the visit, the parties discussed an agreement on joint work and then was signed a memorandum of understanding between the University of Tourism and Management in Skopje (Republic of North Macedonia) and the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism. According to the signed document, the parties agreed on the organization and implementation of joint academic and innovative projects, research programs, seminars and scientific and practical conferences, internships of the teaching staff and students of the “Silk Road” University at the University of Tourism and Management in Skopje, as well as the promotion of academic exchange in the field of education, the development of science and technology and the strengthening of human resources.

The meeting was not limited to signing memoranda. Guest lectures were also held, in which the teaching staff and students of the “Silk Road” University were introduced to the tourism potential of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of North Macedonia.

Mountains are unique sculptures created by nature itself and attract thousands of extreme athletes with their celestial peaks, spacious meadows, and most importantly – extremely beautiful views, because it is here that a person can feel himself above all, and the whole world will be in his hands.

The rapid development of mountain and extreme tourism in Uzbekistan shows how much young people love extreme sports and thrills. A movement of mountain tourism enthusiasts has been organized among the students of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism, under the leadership of a 2nd-year student – Mirzayev Amirbek. More than once, his team called “Hikingly” took part in various tournaments in orienteering, climbing, mountain biking and etc. Now they will take part in the republican competitions within the framework of the “Youth Tourist Rally”, which will be held from April 22 to 25 in the Bakhmal district of the Jizzakh region.

So, on April 17-18 of this year, students from the club “Hikingly” arrived at the training base at the famous cave of Amir Temur, located in the Kashkadarya region, in the tract “Kalla-i-Shiron”. The training program included: theoretical training, climbing instruction, tracking and speleo-hiking training, tying knots. Special emphasis was given to team work training. Previously divided into two teams, the first half of the “Hikingly” team, under the close supervision of professional instructors, began climbing to the cave, located at an altitude of more than two thousand meters. The main task was to stretch the safety ropes for the remaining half of the train.

The successful, but quite time-consuming ascent to the cave generously rewarded the “Hikingly” team with a fascinating view from an altitude of 2100 meters.

“It was true that we had a great pleasure in experiencing the extremely difficult element of mountain and extreme tourism – climbing, but it was worth it. When you climb to the top, all the problems fly away from your head, because you understand that the slightest mistake can cost your life, the instinct of self-preservation makes itself felt” – the coordinator of the club “Hikingly” Amirbek Mirzayev shared his impressions.

One of the main goals of improving the rating of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism is to create the largest and richest library, where students will be provided with all the conditions for a more extensive acquaintance with the multifaceted field of tourism. In this direction, the university library fund is rapidly expanding through the efforts of many international and local authorities, tourist organizations and embassies.

With special pride, the rector of the university presented to the public a unique university library, decorated in a modern design, and acting as a full-fledged high-tech center of tourist knowledge.

It is worth noting that the university library is divided into several reading areas: the hall of electronic resources, the central hall, the international hall, the national hall, the hall of rare books, as well as the “Brainstorming-room”, where students can hold small meetings to discuss a particular book. A special place is occupied by the rector’s room, which contains books from the personal library of the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdukhakimov A.A.

At the moment, the university library fund has more than 10 thousand printed books, as well as more than a thousand electronic books. The library is equipped with modern equipment, a language lab, which provides all the necessary electronic materials for learning languages and more detailed acquaintance with tourist literature.

O‘zbekiston Respublikasi Vazirlar Mahkamasining 2018-yil 2-oktabrdagi “Innovatsion g‘oyalar yetakchisi” ko‘krak nishonini ta’sis etish chora-tadbirlari to‘g‘risida”gi Qaroriga muvofiq universitetda “Innovatsion g‘oyalar yetakchisi” ko‘krak nishoniga munosib nomzodlarni aniqlash maqsadida tanlov o’tkazilishini ma’lum qilamiz.
