The best goal in ensuring the popularity of sports in the scale of our country, with special emphasis on the development of children’s sports, in particular women’s sports, is that the children of the country come to a healthy world, grow, educate and ultimately improve the gene pool of the nation.

In order to achieve such good goals, on November 20, 2023, the chairman of the women's council of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage M.Abbasova and those responsible for the work of the sports club, among the teaching staff, staff of the department of sports were organized chess, checkers, table tennis competitions and running marathon among female students in order to form a healthy lifestyle among women, prevent premature various diseases, promote the importance of mass sports in the country.

A number of practical activities aimed at meaningful organization of free time of students and youth are carried out in our university. On November 21 of this year tutor G.Khusainova organized “Movie Day - MOVIE DAY” for the first year students of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. The students visited the “Star of the East” movie theater in Samarkand, where they watched the movie “Uzbek Girl”.

Within the framework of one of the 5 important initiatives put forward by our president to raise the morale of the youth and organize their free time with benefit - a number of activities to promote reading among the youth are being carried out at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

On November 21 of this year in Samarkand regional information and library center named after A.S.Pushkin held an event organized by G.Khusainova for the first year students of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage on the theme “Book-mirror of spirituality”. The students read poems of famous authors in Uzbek, Russian and English languages. Talent and acting skills of the university students aroused special interest among the youth. Each of the participants tried to convey their feelings and mood in a lyrical work. During the event the students themselves shared their impressions about the books they had read in recent years. Also during the mental attack, the students conducted a methodical analysis of words and proverbs on the theme “Book Lover”.

On November 20 of this year, the teacher of the "Tourism Management" department of our university, Dilrabo Mardonova, and the students of the fourth stage of Tourism 120 group, together with the students of "Hospitality Management of Consumer Services" in the hotel "Alexander" in Samarkand They received detailed information about the types of services provided, the price difference depending on the number and type of rooms, the basic and additional services provided. is to get to know each other and improve their skills.

With the coming of the autumn-winter season, the issue of ensuring safety in the event of natural and technological disasters is becoming more and more urgent.  In order to attract the attention of the population to these issues and prevent emergency situations, it was announced that from 15 November to 15 December this year in our country will be organised “Fire Safety Month”.

 In this regard, on 20 November of this year, within the framework of “Fire Safety Month”, a preventive event was organised for the students of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage together with the Deputy Head of Samarkand Regional Department of Emergency Situations Umid Akhrorov and employees of the department.

Speaking at the event, Umid Akhrorov spoke about fire and emergency prevention, technical safety rules, civil defence, observance of fire safety rules, traffic rules in case of fire, poisoning by trace gas, which poses a serious threat to life and health of citizens and its negative consequences, as well as expressed his opinion on prevention of fires and various unforeseen situations.

On 18 November 2023, on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the adoption of the state flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan, among the students of the university were organised qualifying competitions “Rector’s Cup” and Student League on mini-football.

The competitions held in uncompromising sports form. According to the results of the competition, the team “Unity” consisting of fourth year students took the 3rd place, the team “Counter team” consisting of first year students took the 2nd place, the team “Eagles” consisting of fourth year students took the 1st place.

On 17 November of this year, the Women’s Council of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage held another meeting “Protection of Women from Harassment and Violence: in the Family, Society and State Bodies”. Women staff and employees of our university participated in the event. M.Abbasova, chairperson of the women’s advisory council of the university, who took part in the meeting, gave full information about the laws adopted today in the new constitution adopted to strengthen the position of women in society. In addition, university lawyer F.Boboev, head of the department of work with youth and organisation of events N.Abduvakhidova, dean of the faculty of “Tourism Management” R.Toshniyozova, chairman of the primary organisation of the university trade union S.Matlabov and university psychologist D.Turdiyeva took part in the event and spoke about the protection of rights of women in society. The questions asked on the topic were answered at the meeting.

The national flag of the country is considered a symbol of state sovereignty, it signifies that within these borders of the Earth there exists an independent state of Uzbekistan, and epitomises our national and cultural traditions.

In connection with the 32nd anniversary of the adoption of the flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which winds in the height and is a beacon of success, students and tutors of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage took part in a flash mob under the slogan “My flag winds”.

Also tutors of the university G.Hasanova, S.Abbasova, M.Raupova, P.Islamov and the department of work with youth and organisation of events held an essay competition dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of the adoption of the law of the state flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Students expressed their opinion on the theme “My flag is my pride”, that the national flag is the pride of the nation.

The flash mob and events organised with the participation of students serve to strengthen respect and reverence for the symbols of the state in them.

On 15 November of this year, an event entitled “Uzbekistan - a country where tolerance, respect, communication and interaction between different cultures, civilisations and peoples are developed” held at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism. Vice-rector of our university, Professor J.Hoffmann, and talented students of the university took part in it. On holding the “Week of Tolerance”, J.Hoffmann spoke about the practical steps taken today in Uzbekistan to preserve universal values and strengthen sincere friendship between peoples. It is worth noting that tolerance, strengthening ties of mutual consent between peoples are included in the laws of our country. Today not only teachers of most countries of the world are studying, but also students at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. They are provided with all conditions and opportunities for free pastime in our country.
It was also stated at the event that the Day of Tolerance is a special expression of mutual respect between many peoples living in our country.
