The International Day of Psychologists is celebrated all over the world on November 22. In connection with this date, a number of events were organized in our country. In particular, on November 21-22, a national scientific and practical seminar on the topic “Psychologists of our time. Problems and Solutions” held at Samarkand State Medical University. Dildora Turdiyeva, a psychologist of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, also took part in it.

More than one hundred psychologists from all over Uzbekistan took part in the conference. At the plenary session of the seminar speakers gave detailed information about human psychology and methods of approach to it. Opinions and experience were exchanged, and practical methods were demonstrated that give effective results in working with students.

Also among the participants of the event there was an intellectual game “Zakovat”, dedicated to the field of logical thinking and psychology. The “Donolar” team won. At the end of the seminar an info-tour was held around the new educational campus of Samarkand State Medical University. The guests visited a unique museum telling about the history of the university.

We sincerely congratulate our respected psychologist Dildora Turdieva on her professional holiday on behalf of the staff of our university and wish her good luck in her future work!

On November 22, 2023, the teacher of the “Tourism Management” department of our university, Shakhnoza Kadirova and 2nd year students of the group Mantour 122 visited “Continental” hotel in Samarkand. The purpose of the visit was to get practical knowledge in “Revenue and distribution management” discipline. The students received the general information about how the hotel operates, methods of the revenue management, the position in the online travel agencies, as well as the difference in allocating prices depending on the number and type of rooms. Moreover, the students got familiar with the practices of using modern technologies and improved their skills to provide quality services to guests.

On December 4, 2023, a training seminar on the topic “Application of Experimental Design and Big Data in Tourism Research” will be held at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage to improve the research capacity of professors and researchers in their research activities. Prof. Hanyun (Neil) Li will participate in the training seminar with his lecture.

On December 7, 2023, at 13.00-15.00 (Tashkent time), a conference will be held on the topic “Prospects for the regional expansion of transnational tourism within the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization”. The meeting will be organized in offline format in conference halls of Moscow, Samarkand and Beijing. In connection with the organization of the conference in lecture hall 230 of our university in Samarkand, we invite to participate relevant researchers, professors and teachers, doctoral students and students of the university.

On November 22 of this year, Dilrabo Mardonova, a teacher of the “Tourism Management” department of our university, together with the students of 4th year students Tour group 120, took a practical lesson on “Management of consumer services in hospitality” to the hotel “Mövenpick” in Samarkand. together with the students, they received detailed information about the types of services provided in the hotel, the price difference depending on the number and type of rooms, the main and additional services provided. The practice further strengthened the theoretical knowledge of the student youth and, having close acquaintance with the services provided in the hotel, formed practical skills.

On November 22 of this year the graduation ceremony of 48 students who graduated Master’s degree of our university held. At the ceremony, the first vice-rector of our university, Prof. J.Eltazarov and J.Hoffman spoke about the role of our university in training a qualified specialist in the field of tourism today. Also at the event master’s graduates and their parents told about the opportunities created by our state and expressed gratitude to their teachers. After that, the main part of the event took place - awarding diplomas to the graduates.

In order to ensure the implementation of the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on turning the intellectual game “Zakovat” into a mass-educational movement among the population and other measures for the development of intellectual games, student-youth competitions are held at our university. On November 21 of this year the 1st League of Samarkand club “Zakovat” was held among educated and resourceful students of our university. 6 teams of students competed with each other in the knowledge contest.

On November 22 of this year, a badminton sporting competition aimed at the meaningful organization of free time of students of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage held. In it, students competed with each other, divided into teams.

At “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, under the Sports Club, trainings for chess are organized twice a week in order to reveal the talents of schoolchildren in the sport of chess and to select among them the owners of special talents in the field of sports.

We offer all schoolchildren in our city to participate in these activities.

The sports club of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage since 2022 armwrestling classes held 2 times a week with the purpose of revealing talents of schoolchildren in the sport of armwrestling and selecting among them the owners of special talents in the field of armwrestling sports classes. It is planned to open new groups from 25 November 2023.
