English classes for the students of Samarkand Technical College of Tourism and Cultural Heritage are regularly held by teachers of foreign languages of higher educational institutions, in particular, on 12 June 2023 Hudayorova Safura Tulkinovna, a teacher of “Silk Road” International Tourism and Cultural Heritage University, held a class for students of the technical college.
On June 14 of this year, students of our university showed off their talents and intellectual abilities by taking part in the exciting intellectual game “Zakovat”. The event was organised at the Youth Centre within the Youth Month, and attracted many participants from various educational institutions.
“Zakovat” is a game that tests not only the participants’ knowledge, but also their logical thinking, teamwork and ability to make quick decisions. Thanks to their erudition and ability to work in teams, the students were able to overcome difficulties and achieve high results.
On June 14, 2023, Chairwoman of the Women’s Council of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage M.Abbasova, specialists of the Information and Resource Centre A.Izbasarova and S.Samiev held a presentation of the book “I am Malala”. The work attracted a lot of interest among students.
The work was published with the title “Under Corner of 23.5” (https://t.me/burchakostida) and was translated into Uzbek for the first time as part of the project. The work was written by Nobel laureate Malala Yousufza, a 24-year-old Pakistani, the author writes about violations of girls’ education in her country and the violation of women’s rights. Despite a number of difficulties, Malala, who does not back down from getting science and advocating for her and others’ rights, thus becomes an example to many young people.
The work has sparked a lot of discussion among the student youth. From this we can conclude that our women are learning to live with a sense of gratitude, feeling how many opportunities they have for education and survival in the peaceful life of our country.

Applicants will be invited to submit the following documents to the Research Department of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage:
a transcript of the student’s record book;
recommendation of the Dean's Office and the Department;
recommendation of the head of the scientific (creative) work;
a list of scientific works and their printouts;
references from the Department of Languages, the Department of History and Cultural Heritage.
All documents are submitted in a folder (binder). The cover indicates the name of the President or named state scholarship of the Republic of Uzbekistan, surname, first name and patronymic of the candidate, faculty, direction of training, course, group.
According to the practice department of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, most university students graduating in the academic year 2022-2023 are working in various fields of the tourism industry.
In particular, many students of university work in hotels located in Samarkand region’s tourist center. Guli Akhmedova and Davlatjan Kamolov, fourth-year students of the university’s “Tourism Management” faculty, are practicing the theory they received from their teachers at “Samarkand Regency”, a five-star hotel located in the tourism center.
Shahzoda Abdullaeva, who became a student at our university in 2019, is also bringing her knowledge and skills to life at the tourism center’s Hotel “Savietsky”. Our student provides high-level service to guests in English and Russian languages.
You can also see Zarshed Abdurahimov, who is on the doorstep of graduating from “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, tying his career to the field of hotel services. Zarshed works as an assistant hotel manager with an excellent knowledge of 5 foreign languages and shows initiative.
Our well-educated and enthusiastic students are the pride of our university.
The competition “Best Innovative Projects” announced in March of this year for students by “Research Department” was held on 12 June in room 108 at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. The projects submitted by the students were reviewed in the presence of committee members.
The projects for the competition were accepted in 3 ways. These were practical projects, start-up projects and scientific projects. The participants took part in the competition as a team as well as individually.
At the end of the competition, 3 places will be selected and the authors of the best project will be awarded with money and certificates in the amount of 3 times the amount of the “basic scholarship” for 1st place, 2 times the amount for 2nd place and 1 times the amount for 3rd place.
These days, students of Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage are taking their final exams in their subjects for the academic year. Kamal Mustaev, a lecturer at the university’s “Hitory and Cultural Heritage” Department and a talented teacher, took the exam in English from 1st year students of groups 122 and 222 of the faculty of “Tourism Management” on the subject “Crossing of Cultures, Intercultural Dialogue”.
Also, Hasan Safo Tursun, a university lecturer from Turkey, gave an oral examination from 3rd year students on the subject of “Cost accounting”.
On 30 June, in the framework of Youth Day, as part of the “Youth Month”, an intellectual game ZAKOVAT QUIZ was organised at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.
According to the results of the game;
1st place - team “Monopoly”;
2nd place - team “URFON”;
3rd place - team “Utopia”.
Collections of books were given to the winning teams.

On 30 June, in the framework of Youth Day, as part of the “Youth Month”, the University Cup in cyber sport was organized at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. Ten teams took part in the game.
