Nilufar Rahimova, an assistant teacher in the Tourism Department, participated in the ORHUN exchange program and successfully passed the selection process. She is now teaching at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC). Upon her arrival, Nilufar Rahimova was warmly welcomed by representatives from the International Department and professors from Russian Economic School faculty. She has been assigned to the Department of Marketing. As part of this program, she is teaching the “International Relations” course to first-year undergraduate students at UNEC.
On 22 October tutor of our university G. Khusainova met with students living in the student dormitory to conduct explanatory work on internal order. Besides, the conditions created by the tutor in the student dormitory were studied and necessary recommendations were given about the necessity of keeping cleanliness and order in the rooms, as well as about the correct use of equipment and its safety.
Today, in order to organise the free time of boys and girls living in the student dormitory in a meaningful way, various sports competitions and contests were organised.
The tutor of the university Rofeeva Malika was familiarised with the living conditions of the students living in rented flats in the groups attached to her.
During the study, students learnt about safety rules such as electricity and careful use of natural gas.
On 22 October, in order to get news from students living in rented flats, tutor of our university S. Abbasova closely communicated with students living in rented flats and studying in groups attached to her. Living conditions, problems and questions of the students were thoroughly studied. During the study, the students were given necessary instructions and recommendations on the correct use of public utilities after a cold weather.
Within the framework of 27 October - the day of elections of deputies of the Legislative Chamber and deputies of local councils, a group of active students of our university at the 70th voting place of Samarkand city took part in early voting under the slogan “My Choice - Prosperous Motherland!”.
At the moment we kindly ask all members of our staff to take part in the elections, which will be held on 27 October.
The 2nd stage of the sports competitions “Five Initiatives” and “Student League” among the university students continues. Within the framework of these competitions our students competed with each other in mini-football. The winners move on to the next stage of the competition.
On 22 October 2024, a round table was held at our university under the slogan “There is no place for violence in our society”. The round table was attended by the chairperson of the women's council Abbasova, the head of the youth work department of the mahalla Abduvakhidova and a group of students.
The 16 Days Against Violence campaign is being held today to further improve the spiritual situation in families and find solutions to issues such as protecting individual women from harassment and violence. At the event, the female students were given explanations, necessary recommendations on the importance of the event and the essence of its content.
"Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage closely cooperates with prestigious German universities, as well as a number of leading international organisations.
Professor of Eberswalde University in Germany Nicole Haesler held master-classes on the topic "Combating Excess Tourism: Sustainable Strategies and their Relation to Uzbekistan". During the lecture the students were presented with new information on sustainable tourism development. Information was also provided on the specific theoretical basis for utilising international experience in tourism development in Uzbekistan.
Today, 21 October, on the occasion of giving the Uzbek language the status of the state language, a festive event was held at the Academy of Tourism at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage with the participation of professors and teachers of our university, heads of chairs, heads of departments, tutors and students. At the first festive event, professors and teachers of our university and heads of departments spoke about the role and importance of the Uzbek language today. Then, with the participation of talented students, samples of poems written in honour of the Uzbek language by great representatives of Uzbek literature were read.
Melodies and dances performed by the students made the celebration even more memorable.
