Psychological support is very important for first-year students on the threshold of their first tests of the student period - mid-term exams.
In this regard, the psychologist of the International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage “Silk Road” D. Turdieva and tutor P. Islomov held a joint event, which was attended by students of the 224th group, studying in the direction of “Tourism and Hospitality”.
In order to determine the current psychological state of the students, psychodiagnostic studies were conducted among them and constructive recommendations were given.
We ask that students who have registered to re-take their failed courses based on their personal schedule are asked to contact the teachers of the courses listed in the file and perform the assigned tasks of the courses.
From November 4, 2024, to January 24, 2025, you will be asked to complete the tasks in the courses determined on the basis of your personal schedule and pass the final exams in the last week of January. We ask you to complete the assigned tasks in the courses on time, as well as to pass the final exams on time.
You can make credit payments for the courses after the contract is formed.

Today, on November 5, a propaganda event on the theme “Let's be a respectable generation” was held in the conference hall of our university. Chairman of the Regional Committee on Religious Affairs Sohibnazar Boymurodov, specialist of the Regional Department of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Ismat Juliev, Advisor to the Rector of our university Sanjar Kulmurodov, Head of the Department of Work with Youth Nargiza Abduvokhidova, as well as first year students took part in the event.
It is known that today there are cases when some of our young people, knowing and not knowing, join various religious movements. First of all, this is caused by such situations as lack of upbringing on the part of parents, use of social networks not for the intended purpose, bowing to all sorts of deceptions of impure people.
There were given concrete examples and information in case of occurrence of such negative situations, cases of getting under the influence of various religious movements of our student youth. Today our youth should know about the correct use of Internet networks, also our students and young people were given necessary recommendations and instructions on observing the culture of dress. At the propaganda event in the form of an open dialog the students received answers to their questions.
On November 4 of this year in the sports complex of Olympic reserve in Samarkand competitions on athletics within the framework of sports competitions “Five Initiatives” were held.
In these competitions students of higher educational institutions of our region competed in running 100 meters and further. Students of our university also took an active part in sports competitions and took prize-winning places.
In the current 2024-2025 academic year 314 students were admitted to the specialties of Museum Studies: Museum Management and Cultural Tourism, Management, Tourism and Hospitality for part-time study. At present the educational process for the first year students is taking place on the part-time form of education. Today, on November 4, in the conference hall of our university held a meeting with the first-year students of part-time study. The vice-rector of the university, advisor to the rector, dean, chairs of departments and heads of departments were present at the meeting.
Speaking at the event, it was said that students studying at the part-time form of education should be attentive to the educational process, responsibly take up the tasks given by teachers. At the meeting the heads of departments and divisions were introduced to all those present. At the end of the event the questions asked by the students were answered.
On November 1 of this year tutor of our university Gavkhar Khusainova together with 2nd year students visited Samarkand Regional Social Support Center to visit lonely elderly and disabled people, devoted to kindness. Here our students interacted closely with the elderly to lift their spirits. Sincere communication, cheerful laughter gave everyone one pleasure.
On the initiative of the Department of History and Cultural Heritage, Corinna Kuhr-Korolev, a researcher from the Potsdam Research Institute in Germany, visited our university.
Corinna Kuhr-Korolev held an open lesson, a master class, for our students on the methodology of organizing an open-air exhibition. For the first time during this year, the results of a study started in the Cretan Islands of Greece, based on Olima's personal idea, were shown as an example of an organized exhibition.
The team and students of our university were provided with the necessary information about the methods used by Corinna Kuhr-Korolev.
An article of Prof. Tongqian Zou, Vice-rector of our university, has been published in the prestigious journal Asia Pacific Journal of Tourism Research. The article is entitled “Mapping the evolution and future directions of creative tourism: a comprehensive bibliometric analysis”, which summarizes the theoretical evolution of creative tourism and analyzes future directions on a scientific basis using VOSViewer and CiteSpace software. It is notable that “Asia Pacific Journal of Tourism Research” is indexed in Web of Science and Scopus databases.
