Responsible Secretary of the interdepartmental working group for the organization and coordination of broad assistance in the study of the history and culture of Uzbekistan, the Uzbek language and literature in foreign countries, Ph.D., prof. Zh.d.Eltazarov made a presentation on «Historical, cultural and literary relations between Uzbekistan and Turkey» at the Institute of Turkological Studies of Istanbul University, Republic of Turkey.

The event was attended by Director of the Institute of Turkology of Istanbul University Prof. Aishe Zishan Furat, Deputy Director of the University of Istanbul Sait Turkan, Head of the Language Center Mehmet Yalchin Yilmaz, Associate Professor of the Department of Modern Turkic Languages and Literature Raile Kashgarly, as well as doctoral students and masters of the university.

The presentation provided detailed information on the long-term joint history, cultural heritage and literary ties of Uzbekistan and Turkey. It was also decided to strengthen research and education programmes by organizing short intensive lectures in cooperation with Istanbul University, Joint research and opportunities for young researchers to study and conduct research.

The presentation impressed professors and researchers at Istanbul University.

Summer school Attention students!

Students registered for Summer school are requested to participate in classes based on the given schedule from July 1, 2024. Students registered for Summer school are requested to participate in classes based on the given schedule from July 1, 2024. Classes are conducted in an offsite format and student attendance is monitored.The courses given in the schedule will last for two weeks and then a new schedule will be sent for two weeks.Students who have not registered for summer school can register in room 101 on Monday.

Today on 27th June, a solemn ceremony was held to open the Center for Chinese Books at our university. This significant event was organized by the International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage "Silk Road" and the publishing house "People's Daily". The center will serve as an important cultural hub, fostering deeper cultural connections between Uzbekistan and China. As part of the opening, 1000 books were presented, and a valuable dialogue took place between youth representatives from both countries. Discussions focused on culture, education, and international cooperation, promoting mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples of China and Uzbekistan.

On June 25, the International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage “Silk Road” opened its department “Uzbek Studies” at the Istanbul University of Turkey.

"We are against drugs!"

On the occasion of "26 June - International Day against Drugs" a round table among the faculty and staff was held under the slogan "We are against drug addiction" in "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.On the occasion of "26 June - International Day against Drugs" a round table among the faculty and staff was held under the slogan "We are against drug addiction" in "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.
The event was attended by the youth leader of the university S. Khaidarov, Chairman of the Women’s Council of the University M.Abbasova and the teacher of the Department of Languages and Global Studies Z.Bektemirov, who expressed their opinion about the negative consequences of drug addiction and the need for everyone to be aware of to protect our youth.
During the round table, the participants discussed the formation of immunity against drug addiction among women and young people; the formation of intolerant attitudes towards the use of hard drugs among schoolchildren and students; proposals were made for the introduction of propaganda and educational and preventive mechanisms aimed at preventing the spread of psychoactive substances in higher education institutions

The University delegation participated in the first working seminar with project partners within the ERASMUS+ project ERASMUS-EDU-2023-CBHE 101127171 titled "QUARTZ – Quality Assurance for Reform and Transformation of HEIs in Uzbekistan" to learn from the experiences of European countries and exchange experiences at the Varna University of Management, Varna, Bulgaria from June 18-21 of the current year.The University delegation participated in the first working seminar with project partners within the ERASMUS+ project ERASMUS-EDU-2023-CBHE 101127171 titled "QUARTZ – Quality Assurance for Reform and Transformation of HEIs in Uzbekistan" to learn from the experiences of European countries and exchange experiences at the Varna University of Management, Varna, Bulgaria from June 18-21 of the current year.During the seminar, representatives from the university provided detailed information to partner universities about the achievements and future plans being implemented at the university. As part of the "QUARTZ" project, the university team was assigned the task of "WP6. Quality Control and Monitoring." The university team successfully developed a work plan ensuring the success of the QUARTZ project. The work plan was enthusiastically received by partner universities and recommended for implementation.Furthermore, within the framework of the seminar, the tasks set for the teams of partner universities were thoroughly analyzed, corresponding changes and additions were made based on the suggestions and recommendations provided by the university team, and final conclusions were given to the partners regarding the project implementation stages.For your information: ERASMUS+ is a programme of the European Union supporting projects, cooperation, activities, and mobility in the fields of education, training, youth, and sports. It provides funding opportunities for cooperation between 33 European countries (Member States and associated countries) in all these areas.The university's participation in the project as a partner institution within the "QUARTZ" project of the ERASMUS+ programme is significant due to its increasing international attractiveness based on achievements made in the field of education and scientific research during its short-term activities. As part of the ERASMUS+ program project QUARTZ, the following universities are participating as partner institutions alongside our university: - Tashkent International University of Kyrgyzstan (Uzbekistan). - Central Asian University (Uzbekistan);      - Urgench branch of Tashkent University of Information Technologies named  after Muhammad al-Khorazmiy (Uzbekistan); - University of L'Aquila (Italy); - Varna University of Management (Bulgaria).
