In accordance with the Resolution No. 710 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 11, 2020 “On measures to prepare and conduct a population census in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2023”, a census of the population of the republic is planned to hold in 2023.

The last time such a large-scale event was held in our country more than 30 years ago, as a result of which, today, a number of difficulties arise in studying the real life of the population and providing them with practical assistance.

On June 10, 2015, the UN adopted a resolution “Principles and recommendations for the 2020 population and housing census”. It provides that UN member states conduct a population and housing census at least once every 10 years. To date, preparations for this process have begun in the CIS countries, including Uzbekistan.
