On 5 October of this year, the first vice-rector of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage J.Eltazarov and staff of the Department on work with youth and mahallas visited the mahalla “Furkat” in Samarkand and studied the social and spiritual environment that has developed here. At meetings with representatives of the “Mahalla Five” and residents of the mahalla, they discussed the work to be carried out jointly with universities and the tasks to improve and regulate the life of the population, streets and walkways that make up the mahalla.
Today, along with people of different nationalities living in this mahalla, most of them have come to be considered as intelligent families. Therefore, the social and spiritual environment here is much more exemplary. During the meeting, a close dialogue was held with the chairman of the mahalla, the assistant khokim and the inspector of the preventive health centre, and practical recommendations were given on working on the problems of citizens listed in the “Iron Notebook”, “Women’s Notebook”, “Youth Notebook” and the social register.
