The Uzbekistan Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage recently participated in the China EuroAsian Expo: China-Central Asia Industry-University-Research-Application Cooperation Conference in Urumqi, China. The university delegation, led by Professor Tony Zou and Teacher Assistant Akmalbek Davronov, played an active role in the conference aimed at fostering closer ties between Central Asian and Chinese educational and research institutions.Chinese Minister of Education, Huai Jinpeng, Uzbekistan Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Sharipov Kongratby Avezimbetovich, and officials, rectors, and professors from 72 universities in 13 countries including Pakistan, Russia, France, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Sudan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Singapore, Iran and the United Kingdom attended the conference.Vice Rector was appointed as visiting Professor by Xinjiang University of Finance and Economics, and invited to deliver a speech on “AI and Smart Destination” for the teachers and students. Professor Zou and Mr. Davronov engaged in high-level discussions with representatives from various universities, research centers, and industry leaders. The focus was on identifying and developing collaborative opportunities in tourism and cultural heritage education, research, and application. Key topics included the integration of innovative teaching methodologies, joint research projects, and the development of practical applications that leverage the rich cultural heritage of the Silk Road region.
