The First Vice-Rector for Administrative Affairs of the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage attended the 60th-anniversary celebration of the Beijing International Studies University, as well as the “University Presidents’ Forum on International People-to-People Exchange’’ held within the framework of the anniversary. During the forum, local and international university representatives were briefed on the history of our university, the extensive work led by our university Rector, the International Tourism Academy established in collaboration with UNWTO, the development of international cooperation, ongoing initiatives within these partnerships, and available state-funded grant scholarship for International students willing to study for the postgraduate.
During the visit, discussions were held with Professor Ji Jinbiao, President of Beijing International Studies University, regarding established and ongoing areas of cooperation between the universities.
Also, they got acquainted with the work carried out in the digital laboratory of culture and tourism of the Chinese Academy of Culture and Tourism established under the partner university, the digitalization system of the tourism sector, and ongoing projects that is holding at the academy for development of the digitalization of tourism and cultural heritage in China.
It is gratifying that graduates from the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, who completed their studies successfully, are now pursuing their master's degrees at Beijing International Studies University on full scholarships.
