A cooperation agreement aimed at developing faculty and student exchange programs was signed in 2023 between the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and Zhejiang International Studies University. Within the framework of this agreement, our university students participated in a long-term exchange program.
During the visit to Zhejiang Province of the People's Republic of China, university representatives visited the partner university, Zhejiang International Studies University. During the visit, an official meeting was held with the university's leadership team, led by the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs. The meeting concluded with an agreement to organize short-term internships for faculty and researchers starting from the next academic year, as well as the necessity to continue the student exchange program.
During the visit to the partner university, meetings were held with students studying in the School of Culture and Tourism as well as those enrolled in tourism programs at the university. The discussions highlighted the conditions created for international students, the state grant program allocated for studying at the master’s level, and the importance of knowing foreign languages for students wishing to work in the tourism sector. Additionally, it was noted that, as per the decree No.19 issued by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on January 12, 2024, there will be future online learning opportunities through the Uzacademy.uz platform for foreigners interested in closely studying the history and culture of Uzbekistan and Uzbek literature.
This visit serves to strengthen the ties between the universities and expand opportunities for mutual experience sharing.
