Various members of the animal kingdom embark from time to time on a dangerous and herring-drying journey to live only as a species. In doing so, their survival, safety dictates international cooperation, jeep efforts. Therefore, by marking this date, the public and scientists want to draw attention to the problem of endangered migratory animals facing various obstacles created by mankind.

The Presidential Decree “On Measures to Effectively Organize the Activities of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change,” adopted on May 31, also reflects the goal of ensuring the implementation of the UN Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals. In addition, the 14th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS COP14) is expected to be held in Samarkand.

In connection with this date, tasks are set to organize conferences, round tables and meetings, events and wide media coverage with the participation of responsible ministries and departments, higher educational institutions and scientific institutions.
