On February 17 of this year, a meeting was held in the activity hall of the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, with the participation of responsible officials, university activists, and first-year students. The meeting aimed to familiarize students with advanced ideas, suggestions, and initiatives, and to address their problems. The event was held under the slogan "Knowledge Against Ignorance" and featured a discussion with Sohibnazar Boymurodov, the head of the Regional Department of the Committee on Religious Affairs of Samarkand, on the topic “Protecting Youth from the Influence of Radical Ideological Movements.”
During the meeting, examples were provided on the relationships between the state and religion, the true essence of Islam, and the dire consequences of falling under the influence of radical and extremist ideologies.
Today, every student has the opportunity to actively use social media. In this process, various banned extremist groups try to lure students with their harmful ideologies. Therefore, it is crucial for every young person to stay alert and vigilant. Additionally, the meeting also addressed the culture of dressing in higher education institutions and the importance of adhering to appropriate norms, providing students with essential recommendations.
The event, conducted in an open dialogue format, allowed students to ask questions and receive answers on topics that interested them.
