On January 26, at the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism, the Rector’s advisor on Women’s issues M. Abbasova convened a large meeting to discuss the issues of further strengthening the role and position of women in state and public administration, reflected in the Message of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Parliament (Oliy Majlis). The agenda of the fifth meeting of the Women’s Advisory Council of the University, held under the motto “Further strengthening the role and position of women in state and public administration – one of the priority areas of reforms in Uzbekistan”, included the following topical issues:

1. The new Uzbekistan begins with the threshold of the school, the system of education and upbringing.

Speaker: the First Vice-rector for Internationalization and Strategic development – prof. J.D.Eltazarov.

2. Issues of further strengthening the role and position of women in State and public administration (from the Message of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Oliy Majlis).

Speaker: Rector’s advisor on Women’s issues M. Abbasova.

3. Working with dysfunctional families and paying special attention to female students living in such families; ensuring meaningful spending of free time.

Speaker: teacher of the “Department of Uzbek Language and Literature and Social Sciences” of the faculty of “Tourism Management”, PhD M. Siddikova.

4. Identification of talented, potential personnel among women working at the university, formation of reserve personnel from them.

Speaker: the head of HR Department A.Kholbaev.

5. Various questions. Questions of performing discipline based on the internal Charter of the University.
