On December 1 of this year, at the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage hosted a solemn ceremony of awarding the title of Honorary Doctor of the University to Chairman of the Indonesia Halal lifestyle Center (IHLC), Senior Lecturer at Sahid University (Indonesia) Dr.Sapta Nirwandar.

Today, on November 30 of this year, on the basis of the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage is being held the 1st International Scientific and Practical Conference "Russian language and culture in the focus of modern educational technologies" organized with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
At the beginning of the Conference, took place an open screening of a documentary about the life and work of F.M.Dostoevsky, after which, the participants gathered at a round table in the Assembly Hall of the University. There was also a panel discussion where the participants made their reports, answering all the questions of their colleagues.
Topics of discussion were methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language, successful experience in organizing Russian language teaching abroad, and issues of intercultural interaction.
At the end of the conference, the participants were awarded certificates.
