On December 1 of this year, at the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage hosted a solemn ceremony of awarding the title of Honorary Doctor of the University to Chairman of the Indonesia Halal lifestyle Center (IHLC), Senior Lecturer at Sahid University (Indonesia) Dr.Sapta Nirwandar.

The award ceremony was opened by the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, a graduate of Harvard University in the USA, Oxford University in the UK and Heidelberg University in Germany, Prof.J.Hoffmann, who in his welcoming speech noted that it is a great honor for the University to see such an outstanding person as Sapta Nirwandar among the Honorary Doctors of the University.

At the Assembly Hall of the University was held a guest lecture on topic: "Halal Lifestyle Trend and Bussiness Opportunity". Later, a video about the development of Tourism in Indonesia was shown to the students of the University.

At the end of the lecture, the parties exchanged with memorable gifts, and the guest presented to the University Library a huge number of books on marketing, economics and business.

At the end of the visit was organized a tour of the University campus for the guest of honor.
