The main goal of the contest is comprehensive healthy and harmonious education of young people by promoting among students the role and importance of artistic works in our lives, creating conditions for the use of writers' books, comprehensive support for talented young people with independent and free thinking.

All stages of selection take place in the following order:

- “The most knowledgeable reader”.

At the same time, a test consisting of 50 questions is conducted between the participants.

- “Annotation skills”.

At the same time, under the heading “A work that I like”, the participant is given brief information – an abstract to the work that he likes to read.

- “Wide dissemination of culture and reading”.

At the same time, the process of promoting culture and reading by the participant takes place.

The winners of the university stage of the republican contest “The best student reader” have been determined.

Within the framework of the DAAD-funded project Ostpartnerschaften, scholarships (for PhD students only) amounting to € 1200 per month will be provided for a one or two month research stay in Germany in May/June 2023.

The selected PhD-students will be included in HTWG research projects, e. g. data collection; a joint paper publication can be considered. Furthermore, the selected PhD-students will be invited to seminars at HTWG Konstanz to speak about their research.

Selection criterion: originality of the motivation letter. The selection committee consists of Prof. Dr. Gunnar Schubert, Prof. Dr. Hanno Langweg, Prof. Dr. Tatjana Thimm (all HTWG Konstanz).

From 4 to 9 September this year, students of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage took part in the First International track of the program for the development of youth and student tourism, which held in Moscow.

During the event, students attended the entire course of the “Summer School of Tourism and Hospitality” at the Russian State University of Tourism and Service. After completing the course, students received certificates.

Also, the best specialists of the RSUTS hotel business conducted a practical lesson for students at the Ararat Park Hyatt Hotel in Moscow.

It is worth noting that the administration of the “Silk Road” University also met with the Rector of the Russian State University of Tourism and Service F.A.Alekseevich. Within the framework of the program for the development of youth and student tourism were discussed, issues of promoting academic exchange, the development of joint bachelor's and faculty training programs, the organization of joint research projects and research programs, joint seminars and scientific conferences and the implementation of joint innovative projects with the possible involvement of other interested parties.

On September 9 this year, a delegation led by the Chairman of the Council of People's Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof.Puan Maharani, who arrived in our country to participate in the 14th Summit of women leaders of parliaments of the member states of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, visited the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the activities of the “Silk Road” University, within the framework of the development of Uzbek-Indonesian relations in the field of education and tourism.

The guest of honor was met by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Rector of the “Silk Road” University A.Abdukhakimov.

Accompanied by Aziz Abdukhakimov, Professor Puan Maharani got acquainted with the activities of the university, she was provided with detailed information about the results of cooperation with international universities and tourism organizations. There was also a dialogue on mutual cooperation, in particular in the field of tourism, the organization of travel packages of interest to both sides.

It is worth noting that the guests were impressed by the university Library, which has a collection of unique books for the preservation of cultural heritage. On September 8 of this year, the First Uzbek-Israeli Academic Forum was held at the «Silk Road» International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

The forum was attended by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Rector of the “Silk Road”  International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage - Aziz Abdukhakimov, Rector of Samarkand State University, member of the Senate of the Republic of Uzbekistan Prof.Rustam Kholmuradov, Ambassador of Israel to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan Ms. Ben-Hillel Zehavit, Rector of Holon Technological University Prof.Eduard Yakubov, as well as professors of Holon University.

This forum was officially opened with an introductory speech by Aziz Abduhakhimov, who stressed the importance of future cooperation with Israeli universities, including Holon Technological University. The Rector paid special attention to increasing the pace of development of partnership relations in the field of education between Israel and Higher education institutions of Uzbekistan, where an important aspect is the exchange of students, as well as work on joint educational programs and research projects. In addition, Aziz Abdukhakimov spoke about the reforms in the tourism sector in Uzbekistan and about the large-scale work carried out on the eve of the SCO summit to reflect the spirit of Samarkand, under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

In his speech, the rector of the Holon Technological University, Prof.Eduard Yakubov thanked all the forum participants present, and also noted that in accordance with the mutual desire of the peoples of Israel and Uzbekistan to develop educational cooperation as a basis for training highly qualified personnel for foreign economic relations of the two countries, having common priorities in the field of tourism development and scientific research.

The forum program is dedicated to the first Israeli-Uzbek Academic Forum and Disciplines (STEM)2: Cultural heritage and tourism, innovative technologies, information, computer and museum technologies.

The purpose of this forum is to bring together high-ranking representatives of the academy, industry and society from Israel, the UAE and Central Asian countries together with high-ranking Uzbek representatives in the field of innovation, academy, industry, health and environmental systems, and tourism heritage.

The conference participants strive to promote cooperation and practical progress, as well as to share new trends in such fields as science and technology, artificial intelligence, machine learning and big data analysis, as well as other deep learning disciplines based on applied mathematics, digital medical technologies, cultural heritage and tourism technologies, educational e-learning technologies and many other things.

It is important that the first Uzbek-Israeli academic forum has already been held in Tashkent and Bukhara.

Leading influencers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member countries visited Uzbekistan and met with Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, Rector Aziz Abdukhakimov at the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

Communicating with bloggers, Aziz Abdukhakimov spoke about the reforms in the tourism sector in Uzbekistan and about the large-scale work carried out on the eve of the SCO summit in order to reflect the spirit of Samarkand.

During the introductory tour of the university, the influencers were impressed by the management model and advanced technologies used in the learning process, as well as the unique historical elements of the Great Silk Road.

As Vladimir Dervenev, a representative of the Russian Federation, a member of the World Club of Petersburgers and the Russian Geographical Community, noted: "I was struck by the magnificent modern “Silk Road” International University: any proposals from the leadership here are sent directly to the minister. This is the dream of the rector of any university. It is a wonderful resource for the development of both the university itself and tourism in general." Also during the visit, he presented the university library with a book of his authorship “The City believes".

The representative of Kyrgyzstan, the well–known blogger Adelet Nogoibayev, also shared his impressions about the university.
